Mrs. Geo. W. Miles and Mrs. E. E. Miles will go to Hicksville. Monday for -several days visit with Mrs. Mary Farmer. Mr. and Mrs. Grover Walter of Bremen, visited Mr. and Mrs. Geo. 0. Snyder Monday and Tuesday and left Wednesday morning for a short visit at Albion. Ernest Richart has announced himself as a successor to the late Lincoln Cory in the auctioneering field. Mr. Richart is a deserving young man and has many friends in this vicinity who will wish him the success that evidently will, crown his efforts. He already has several sales engaged and invites the patronage of all prospective sellers.

The Journal is still SI.OO a year. Albert Landis of Marion, returned home Wednesday, after a week’s visit with relatives. Herman Juday and family and Benj. Juday and family were the guests of their brother, Charles H. Juday and family Sunday. Miss Lizzie Wetzell, a sister of Mrs. Fred Hoch, and Clyde and Catherine Wetzell, nephew and niece, respectively, are here for a two weeks’ visit. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Myers, of Bremen, are the parents of a girl born Monday. Mr. Myers formerly conducted a cleaning and pressing establishment here.

Snyder. Mrs. Emma Thibabaux came Sunday for a visit with her sister, Mrs. Warren Eagle and other relatives in this viciniity. John Pence is back to the city after spending a couple of weeks on the farm and visiting friends at ' Goshen and Milford Junction. Mrs. B. F. Hentzell is confined to her home with stomach trouble. Her condition is serious and improvement is not as rapid as friends would wish.
