i Seriously Injured. C. J. Quackenbush while working for Hascall Barker Car Co. at Michi- ■ gan City, was seriously injured Monday afternaon at 4 o’clock. The Car ' Co. is enstalling new machinery in their plant, where Mr. Quackenbush was employed in the electrical construction work, when he was caught by ah electrical crane and badly crushed between the crane and a beam. His right lower limb was broken and several ribs fractured. He is in a critical condition at the city hospital. Just one week today Mr. Quackenbush commenced work for the Car Co. The Journal and his many friends sincerely trust that a speedy recovery will soon be rei ported.
Sick List. Mrs. Rudolph Hire, of Richville, is quite ill. Sim Bunger living northeast of town is very sick. The condition of Mrs. Burdelle Weaver remains about the same. Yolan Wilson was suffering with kidney trouble for several days. Mary, the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Moats, has been suffering with a gathering in her head. Mrs. Wash Jones returned from the hospital Wednesday of last week. She is getting along very well. Wm. Binkley had his right hand severly burned Monday evening while working with electric wires thqt were crossed.
