Miss Ruth Winger of near Cromwell, is here assisting in caring for her uncle, Alfred Roberts, who is very ill. The missionary society of the Church of God will meet with Mrs. John Howard, tomorrow, Friday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln Martin of Milford, spent Thanksgiving with Mrs. Martin’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Searfoss. Lou Seider, Dan Klink. Sam Traster and J. W. Deardorff left for Chicago Sunday to attend the fat stock show this week. Lewis Seider, Daniel Klink, Rome Deardorff and Samuel Traster went to Chicago Monday to spend a few days at the fat stock show. Whitehead went to Chicago Saturday toat tend the fat stoksshow and to spend a few weeks with his daughter, Mrs. Frank Miles. His grandson, George Strieby, went with . him and returned Wednesday.

On account of considerable copy coming in just before we were ready to go to press, we were obliged to leave out some news items, as much as we regret doing so, not having room for all. Among those on the sick list this week are Mrs. B. A. Holton, Millie Lingofelter, Mr. Outland, Mrs. Alonzo Stiver, George Jones and Mrs. Anderson Strieby. Mrs. Aaron Ketring has received word from Los Angeles, California, that her brother Wesley Juday, is dangerously ill. The families of Mr. Schubel and Mr. Gamble of Chicago Jet., have recently moved into houses on Boston street. A. W. Strieby was at Chicago the fore part of the week buying goods and attending the fat stock show. Claude Niles and family and Jacob Weybright were the guests of Wm. Sheffield and family Sunday. Gilberts. Grandma Treesh, of New Paris, is visiting her son Aaron Treesh and family Russell Warner and his best girl visited Sunday with his sister, Mrs. Calvin Cooper. Birm Russell and wife of Dunlaps, visited Sunday with Charley Lutes and family. John Hoover and wife of Goshen, spent Saturday and Sunday with Edwin Berk ey and family. Arden Geyer who has been a great suffer of rheumatism for several weeks is confined to the house. Mrs. Raric of Deleware County, who has been visiting her son Curt Ranc and family, the past three weeks, returned home Saturday. Mrs. Wesley Rodabaugh visited Saturday and Sunday with her grandmother Pollie, in Goshen. Mirs. Pollie returned home with her Sunday evening for a few days’ visit. Mr. Eli Myers aud wife spent a few days with his mother, Susan Myers and ojher relatives, while waiting for their furs to be finished at the Milford Tanning Company, which consist of two large black bear skins, one brown bear, also one lynx, which were mounted two with their mouths open and the others closed, for rugs. Seven beautiful red fox skins were made into two fine sets of furs. They received most of these . and many other beautiful present at Christmas time during their four years stay among the Eskimos as missionaries and goverment teachers. They left Wednesday for Chicago where they will visit Mrs. Myers brother a few days. Monday they for California to spend the winter. They expect to go back to Alaska next May.

Samuel Juday and family spent Thursday with George Juday and wife. Harry Juday and Estella Gray spent Sunday afternoon with Bessie Juday. The ladies Aid Society met with Mrs. Frank Juday Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. S. J. Juday is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Zimmerman at Hicksville, Ohio. The Xmas entertainment will be given at this place on Xmas eve., Dec. 24th. David Holtzinger and family spent Sunday with Levi Pearmon and wife. Solomon Hawkins of Benton, who has bee seriously ill for few weeks is no better. Ek Good of Wyoming, formerly of this place, is visiting his brother John. They will move here in a few weeks. Ollie Pence and wife, Earn Judayand family, Jesse Juday and family, Frank Juday and wife and J. C. Juday were pleasantly entertained at the home of Pete and Jennie Deardorff. near Goshen, Thursday. Rev. McCabe and wife.of La Otto, Rev. H. Simons and wife, John Darr, Estella Alwine, John Good and family, Ed Holtzinger and family and Henry Rex and wife spent Thanksgiving with David Holtzinger and family. The team belonging to Ora Shannon tore loose from the hitch rack near the depot at Benton Saturday afternoon ana started for home. The harness was torn and the wagon 'badly broken as a result of their getting tangled up with a telephone pole.
