The K. of P. Lodge and the Pythian Sisters entertained last Friday evening in honor < ’ Harry Clemens and wife who moved to Goshen yesterday. Owing to the inclement weather not a great number of the members were present but those who were there felt well repaid for going out on such a night. A delightful lunch was served which was much enjoyed by all except those who by mistake were given salt for their coffee instead of sugar however the mistake was soon corrected. We are glad to state that Mr. and Mrs. Clemens are not moving there to make that their permanent home as wa should be very sorry to lose them as citizens of our town. The Syracuse Power and Light Company at their office Monday night purchased of the Ames Iron Works of Oswego N. Y. a 150 horse power boiler, also a 100 K. V. A. During the dry seaaon of the year and the low water period the company will have sufficient steam power to furnish us with good lights should the water fail uterly. The lighting company is making every effort to give the people of Syracuse and Milford service that is excelled by no other lighting company and this should be appreciated by our citizens.
