Wawasee Protective Association. Mr. Elwood George, president of the Wawasee Protective Associa* tjon, issued a call for a special meeting Saturday 15 th inst. of the association and all others interested in the development of the interests at Lake Wawasee. The response was disappointing and no formal meeting was held. One reason for he failure of many to the very rough condition of the lake. A high south wind blew all day making it dangerous for small craft to venture across. ' It is the purpose of the association -oincrease the membership by I ci g the annual fee from ten to five dollars. And it is the further pur[x»se to perfect such an oiganizatio as will secure the active interest of one of the Interurban Railroad Co.’s to build its line to the lake. Among the cottage owners are several traction company officers and it is believed that when these men take right hold of the matter a line will certainly be built to the lake. No date was set for another meeting but doubtless such a meeting will be called soon.
