Juniors Entertain Seniors. The Juniors of the high school very pleasantly entertained the Seniors Saturday evening at the high school rooms. A four course luncheon was served and a general good time participated ip. Judgment was rendered in the Kosciusko county court Tuesday, in favor of the Elkhart County Trust Co. for $3,000 against the sureties on a note given by the Advance Radiator Co. some two or three years ago. Gilberts. Eldep Lutes is on the sick list this week. Guy Morehouse is suffering with a carbuncle on his left wrist. Mrs. Susan Myers visited with Moses Cripe and wife Sunday. Mrs. Emory Cooper is very sick with inflammatory rheumatism. A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Alva Crowl on Friday, May 19. Mrs. Calvin Cooper visited Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Sinning at Goshen, Wednesday. Mrs. John Mellenger and daughter, Pearl, visited with Jessie Mel lenger and family from Friday until Sunday. Rev. Hilton, the Brethren Missionary who labored ten years in China, gave us two very interesting lectures last Friday and Saturday evenings, and told us of many good improvements in the China mission Salem. Velma and Ruby Dye called on Treva Gibson Saturday. Fern Sanders was the Sunday guest of Ruby Godshalk. John Auers and family Sundayed with Mrs. Sarah J. Woggoman near Zion. Sabbath School at this place every Sunday. All are cordially invited. Bert Tom and wife spent Sunday with the latter’s mother, Mrs. Ellen Wyland. Arthur Ulery and family visited with relatives near North Webster Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Tom spent Sunday with their son, George Tom and family. P. Slaughterback and wife of Goshen, are visiting at the home of A. B. Koontz. Mr. and Mrs. Arch Defrees visited the latter’s parents, Lewis Neibert and wife, over Sunday. Quite a number from this vicinit y went to Elkhart Saturday to see the races. All reported a fine time. Mr. and Mrs. Emerald Jones, Mrs. Walter Weybright and son, Marshall Dye and two daughters and Treva Gibson, called at the home of Dean Cory Sunday. Solomon’s Creek. Estella Alwine spent Sunday with Bertha and Estella Darr. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Stuart visited his brother near Syracuse Sunday. Mrs. P. Roach and Mrs Ben Juday are spending a few days at Logansport. John Good and family took Sunday dinner with Henry Rex and wife. Bessie Juday called on Mrs. Fred Obendoffer of Goshen, Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Sarah Calkins of Traverse City, Mich., is visiting John Good and family.«. George Juday and wife spent Tuesday with Will Long and wife north of Benton. Levi Pearmon and wife visited with Mrs. John Pence Sunday. Mrs. Pence is no better. Walter Rex and wife were Sunday guests at the home of Dan Warble at Syracuse. Lelia Juday, Josie Sheline, Mrs. Clinton Rookstool and Art Nicoli are entertaining the mumps this week. Orlo Green and wife and David Holzinger and family visited Frank Shaffer and family at Syracuse last Sunday. Bird Darr and wife, Cloy Darr and Mauril Darr were Sunday visitors at the home of Henry Whitmer at Richville. Sunday School at 10 a. m., preaching at 11 a. m., Y. P. C. U. at 7:30, Mrs. Henry Rex, leader. All are invited to attend these services. Wilson Ott and wife, Willie Wortinger, wife and little daughter, Neomia, Will Hershey and family and James Long and wife, were guests of Nath Long and wife Sunday. All who are interested in the cemetery and have lots are requested to meet there Saturday. Some very important business is to be attended to. Please remember and be present. Dr. G. Dick Brunjes of Chicago, will arrive next week at Brunjes Park to spend some time with his parents Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Brunjes, after which time he will return to Chicago to look after the practice of Prof. Gordon, a noted specialist on bkin diseases, while he is in Europe.
