Birthday Surprise. As Rev. J. C. Bailey, pastor of U B. church at this place, was sitting in his “big arm chair ” thinking of the pleasantries of his 39 birthday anniversary, a gentle rap was heard at the door, and upon opening it, friends and members of the church marched in, until the parson- . age was well filled. Nor did they come empty handed, for several dollars worth of eatables and useful articles, with some hard cash, were left as tokens of respect and well wishing. Light refreshments, consisting of candies and oranges, were served, and a most enjoyable time was had by all. The visitors departed at a late hour, wishing Mr. Bailey many happy returns of the day.—Ambia Journal. I inserted an ad in the Journal about four weeks ago stating that I had customers for farms from 30 to 80 acres and some larger and anyone wishing to sell and would make the price right I can dispose of them. I received prompt replies from some who wished to sell and have supplied two customers since that time. I still have others 'who will buy if they can be suited. If you want to sell list your farm with me no matter how small or large or where it is. W. G. Connolly, Syracuse, Ind.
