Benton. Mr. C. Hess has just erected a nevs barn. Mr. Ray C Elsea of Chicago was at home over Sunday. Mrs. Sarah Butler returned Saturday from a several days visit at Goshen. Miss Wilma Leacock has returned from Lafayette where she spent several weeks. Mrs, Clarence Musser and Miss Mary Musser spent several days in Elkhart last week. William Mann died at his home* in Benton, Saturday night at twelve o’clock of paralysis. Charles Musser and wife were in Goshen over Sunday the guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. Miller. Clarence Musser and family will move on the Holsinger place west of town in the spring. Chas. Birkei and family will move near Middlebury on the J. F. Young farm. Mier Will Stands Unchanged. Attorney W. F. McNagny returned Thursday from Albion, where he had been engaged in the Mier will contest case. A judgment was rendered against the children, who were contesting the will, and the will was confirmed and probated and the executors named in it were duly appointed. This ends a long controversy and completely settles all the rumors which have been in'eirculation as to the past marital relations of Sol Mier, and his disposition of his property remains unquestioned, so that all of the business enterprises in which he was interestedjat the time of his death will be carried on as they have been in the past. Trusdell requesting us to send the Journal to them at Heflin, Alabama, where they are now located. Mr. and Mrs. Truesdell were formerly proprietors of the Fair Emparium here, they having sold their store about four months ago to T. A. Brainard who is conducting the business in the same location.
