Miss Lois North of Plymouth, is spending a few days with Miss Mae Tish before going to Kendallville where she will teach this year. Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Windsor were called to Sandy Hook, Miss., Thursday on account of the illness of their daughter, Mrs. G. H. Houston, who is quite sick with typhoid fever. * Miss Irene Sprague, who is attending the County Institute at Warsaw this week will go from Warsaw to Indianapolis Friday to spend a week with relatives there. Elmer Streiby, Sam Akers and Charles Crow were at Onandago, Mich., the first of the week putting a furnace in a school building. Cecil Monroe accompanied them home. Mrs. W. C. B. tabernacle at Gak Grove is a busy place this week. A series of Union camp meetings are in progress. The Rev’s C. Weimer, Winer, Akright mid Mrs. Akright and Heil are assisting in the services. Four Sunday schools will be present next Sunday. ' The Cable family wishes to correct the mistake made in last week’s Journal about the oldest Cable. Jake Cable of Elkhart, Ind, on whose birthday the reunion was held is the oldest and John Cable the youngest. Tne next reunion will be held at Lake Wawasee, Sept. 22, 1911, in honor of Benjamin Cable's birthday. Relatives and friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Fackler last Sunday in fememberance of Mrs. Fackle’s 27th birthday. All went with well filled baskets and some very nice presents. A sumptuous dinner was enjoyed by all in the front yard after which the time was very pleasantly spent in social chat and music. Those present were Grandma Coy, Mae Vorhis, Wm. Obituary, Marguerite Gans, only daughter of Ira and Lena Gans, was born Nov. 16th, 1067 and departed this life after one days illness Aug. 28 1910, age 2 years, 9 months and 6 days. Little Marguerite was very bright and of such a sweet disposition as to be loved and adibked by ail with whom she came in contract. To know this little flower was to love j her for the sweet fragrance breathed ' fourth. Always affectionate and more thoughtful than many of more ma- ! ture years. Today she is at rest with her iittle angle brother and | sister, safe in the arms of Jesus. This little bud so young and fair, Called hence by early doom, Came to show how sweet a flower. In paradise would bloom. Ere sin could harm pr sorrow fade, [ Death came with friendly care, The opening bud tg> Heaven con-1 veyed, And bade it blossom there.
