He preached a fine sermon Siinday and Sunday night at the Shively church. Dr. Bowser’s mother, of Goshen, is visiting Mrs. Matilda Druckamiller. Boyer, the Evangelical minister, will talk to the men. Everybody is cordially invited to be present. At the U. B. church next Sunday Bible school at 10 a.m , Preaching at 11 a,m., Young people’s meeting at 6 p.m. led by Dr. Geo. O. Smith Sunday school at the Concord at 10 a.m, Preaching at 7:30; p.m. Pastor J. W. DeLong A large hotel will be built at Oakwood Park this summer. It will be tbree< stones high 38x70 with a wing 88x70. Andrew Reanck has a force of men making cement blocks and Darr Bros., with a force of men making door and window frames. There are also contracts let for two cottages to be built at the Park the coming summer. Frank Bushong, living south of town has one of the most complete and up-to-date sugar camps in this part of the state. It consists of 800 thrifty trees and has put in a complete sugar making outfit consisting of boiling tanks and evapor, ator, conducted automatically so that the sup runs through and ,oomea out pure maple syrup, tested 11 pounds to the gallon.

Sunday school is starting a teachers training class This school is in a healthy condition under the efficient superotendency of Guy Fisher along with an 'able corps of officers and teachers. v Miss Dessie Hoover was at Milford Monday on business. John Fisher and wife spent Sunday at the home of their son Guy Fisher. Mrs. David Smith and Mrs, Wisley Coy spent Sunday with their mother, Mrs. Hoover. Christian workers meeting Sunday evening, preaching sevioes at the usual hour, all are welcome to attend these services. Mrs. James Maloy called at the home of Christopher Darr Friday. Mrs. Lorenzo Coy met with an accident although not serious but might have been, as he was tying the boompole on a load ot bay it broke and knocked h.m eff the load striking on his bead and shoulders on .the barn floor but no serious damage except a few bruises. Besides her parents she leaves two grandfathers, two grandmothers, and other relatives and friends. The funeral was held at the M. E. church Leesburg, Tuesday forenoon, interment at Salem~oemete'ry, Rev, C. H. Murray officiating. Darling Gertrude, she has left us Thy gentle voice now is hushed Thy warm true heart is still, And on ,thy young and innocent brow Is resting death’s cold chill Thy hands are clasped upon thy breast We have kissed thy lovely brow And in our aching hearts we know, We have no darling now. Those little lips so sweet to kiss Are closed forever now, Those sparkling eyes that shown so bright, Beneath that pearly brew, That little heart that beat so high Free from all care and gloom, Are hidden now from those she loved, Beneath the silent tomb. We thank the neighbors and friends for their kindness during the sickness and death of Our baby. Mr. and Mrs. Alva Crowl. Mrs. Eliza Hockinsmith bought the Tom Coy property 1 mile north of town. The sale was made by W, G. Connolly, John C. Lehman, who has been at South Bend during the past winter, is here visiting with A. H. H. Blanohard and family. The ladies of the M. E. church will serve their annual supper in the K. of P. opera bouse, on Wednesday evening, March 17. The mehu will be published next week. ’ Lon White, who has been bolding oases on the Journal for a few weeks past, has taken up bis duties as yard olerf with the B. & O. at this place, having been called back to duty Monday morning. Homer Smith has taken the contract to move all ths buildings on the Jake Kern farm of town, with the exception of one barn. J, P. Dolan, administrator, intends to build a new residence on the site of the old dwelling. The hotel dwelling at Oakwood Park, was domaged by fire Sunday afternoon, it caught from a chimney, but luckily the family came home just in time to extinguish the flames, but a few minutes more the fire would have been beyond control. It burned through tbn joist and also burned a hole through the floor, The damage was adjust, ed by A. H, Blanchard, agent for the Glens Falls-
