The good roads oommitte of the State association of County Commissioners, meeting at the Denison hotel at Indianapolis Friday, decided to work hand in hand with the legislative committee of the gond roads bureau of Indiana- and\t was planned to hold a meeting December 16 or 17 with the legislative committee of the bureau and with a committee on good roads wh:ch it is h'j ed will be appointed at the meefng of the State Association of Township Trustees. The trustees will meet December 16 and 17, and since the trustees govern thousands of miles of roads in the state, it has been decided that the trustees should be asked to join with the other two organizations in the promotion of.tbe movement for better roads.

A newly organized business men’s Exchrngeat Millersburg has induced Sallot Bros., of Ft. Wayne to revive the handle factory project at Millersburg. The exchange puts $5.00 into the deal with the result that the Munmert factory will be again put in operation. The Henderson Stock Company will fill a week’s engagement at the K. at P. opera house, beginning Monday evening, Dec. 14. The company is one of the best repertoir aggregations on the road and their former visit to our city was highly appreciated by our theatre-going people.

Another dividend from the Kosciusko County Bank, now in process of liquidation, will be paid depositors of the institution within the next two weeks, aooording to information receiveb from Manager Warren Darst, who for several months has been engagedin settlig up the banks affairs* The next dividend will be 15 percent and the third to be paid the depositors of the institution since it saw decided to wind up its Since Mr. Darst was appointed in June by the court to take charge of the institution and make settlement he has been busy every moment of the time. When the next dividend of 15 per oent is paid the depositors it will make e total of 60 per cent they will have received. The date for the payment o. the third dividend will be announced by Mananger. Darst within a few days. Library Subscriptions Now Due. At a meeting of the Eublio Library Board held on the evening of Deo. 8, it wfs decided to ask the subscribers to the Library Fund to pa ail that portion of the bubwriptiou which theyleil able to pay, at once, to Mr. A. A. Rosbr, at the bank. The Library needs a number of books of interest to the general roader and these cannot be purchased till the money is in the banda of the treasurer, so kindly, without further notice, call at the bank and pay yours subscription or part of it and thus oblldge the board, the school and the friends of the library.

While working on the Stackhouse farmin Scott township, Jesse Oswalt of Leesburg, who fs well known in Warsaw, in some manner placed his arm in a corn shredder with the result that the member was terribly mangled. It is feared that amputaxtion will be necessary. The young man had been working all day and at a time when he least expected an accident, he thoughtlessly placed his hand into the machine farther than usual and bis sleeae caught. The hand and arm were drawn in and horrible crusbad and torn. The young man displayed great nerve after the accident. It was ( a long time before he could be given the attention of a physician.
