The liook is original throughout and contains several short stories of merit by pupils of the school. The contributors to the book are Emory Garber, Preston 11. Miles, Kay Cory, Celia Smith, besides a number of short notes by ether pupils. Leonard Brown of Des Moines, la., a former resident of Syracuse gives a brief historical sketch which is reviewed in another part of this Jiaper nnder the caption “Sixjy Years of Progress.” The,drawings were executed by JMiss Mary Miles and show cocsiurj erable skill m that line. The first was given, by the Kosciusko I<Lfge team of Warsaw, directed by .Mr. ?ye,. a nd was as near perfection in j all th. movements as it is' possible to get. It'clfpi.inly.was fine. The 3rd was given by the Claypool lodge team and was presented in a remarkably fine style, 'which was hugely enjoyed by all. After the work the Grand Master gave an address, delivering one of the finest speeches we have ever heard on the principles of Odd Fellowship. It was a grand success, for all of which the Odd Fellows of Kosciusko County are indebted to our ihdefagitable worker, Grand District Deputy, C. R. Zimmerman. Premier returned home from Indianapolis Monday evening where she was sent as a delegate from the Eastern Star lodge at Leesburg to the Grand Lodge. . The Leesburg, baud headed the Odd Fellows parade at Warsaw' last Saturday and made a finee appearance in their new dark blue uniforms. The boys are certainly a credit to Leesburg.. After quite a Idngthy obituary a number of ministers gave some very interesting reminescences of their association with him during Ins 50 years of service in-the ministry. Rev. E; Al. Baker said that 50 years ago a class of j eight, of which Rev. Lynch and himself were members, joined the North Indiana conference on probation. Os the entire class he is the only one living.
