The supreme court of the limited States Monday decided the case of the Adams Expres company vs. the Common-wealth of Kentucky, (involving the right of the company to ship liquor into a local option county, contrar} T to he laws of the state) in favor of he company. The case involved he shipment of whiskey from Indiana and Tennesee to Bonnieville for which the company was fined $50 for each offense by the circuit jourt of Hart county.

Mrs Ellen Cameron called on Mrs James A Sexton Monday afternoon.
A party of about twenty-five friends of Mrs. Edith Bowers met at her pleasant country home, west of town, yesterday, it being Mrs. Bowers birthday. The main feature of the day was a bounteous dinner .served at the noon hour. Those present were: Mrs. Cora Fox and children , Mattie Humph - ery and children, Alice Hainey and children, Eizzie Litz and grand-daughter, Mollie Cantrell and daughter, Olive Sherlock, Maud Kentling, Emma Eads, Blanche Zikes, Frances Parnell and daughter Mary, Misses Goldie Parnell and Mary Thrasher.

Mr. and Mrs. Homer Hepley, of Bloomington, are visiting at Paris Trisler’s. Mr. Hepley, who is employed at the Oaks Foctory, has been laid off for a few days.
Miss Carrie Shields was a caller at Bloomington Tuesday.
J. G. Fogle went to Indianapolis this morning.
The Stull delivery team became frightened this mornig this morning and ran, striking a telephone pole which prevented them from doing further damage. The wagon was turned over and the tongue broken. Ed Stull was thrown out of the wagon, but not hurt.
David Burkhart has bought the John Walls property in Leonard’s additon, for $900. Mr. Walls will buy a small farm some place.
The little child of W. H.Xonner is quite sick.
