Next Tuesday is the election and both the leading parlies are hard at work for the success of the county, state and national ticket. The democrats have all good men on their ticket, whose records are good and who are in every way qualified to fill the positions of trust. Once in a while you hear a person say something about a cadidate doing this thing or that thing in his younger days, and some people are foolish enough to hold predjudice against a man for years, because of something he did when he was a boy, but we don’t believe that there are such men on the county ticket or that this feeling exists. Cullop, for Congress; Hon. John G. Harris, for Representative of Brown and Monroe counties; Hon. J, H. Underwood, for Prosecutor; R. VV. Miers, for Judge; Joseph Ratliff, for Sheriff; John C. Dolan, for Treasurer; Wm. Carmichael, for Auditor; Dr. Jos. Kentling, for Coroner; and all the others who are capable and honest men whose names appear on the ticket. We have named a few and space forbids us going into fprther details as to who we would like, but will wait until the votes are counted and then express our thoughts further. We hope no one wfll take offense at this by us not giving all the names, but you of course know your choice. So “let her go.”
