Everett McPike, W. H. Deckard, Joe Floyd and Mary Johnson are reported on the sick list this week.
Mrs. Bert McCray, here to attend the funeral of her grandfather, Thos. Clay, has returned to her home at Indianapolis.
Henry Cornwell and family have returned from their annual vacation. They visited relatives at Campbellsburg, New Albany, Salem and Kansas City.

Fire broke out up near the Handy school house Saturday evening, it burnt over about 75 or 100 acres of land and destroyed five hay stacks for Chas. Ousler.

Last Friday while some men were setting some cars at the National quarry, a car loaded with fine stone got away and was ditched near the main track. It took the section hands nearly all day Sunday to clear the track.
