She did not suffer a confining illnesa, but was subject to occaaicnal attacks of lung congestion and heart trouble. On the evening of her death aha had severe chilis, and though medical aid was- quickly; •ommooed, the hstart action eouM do< lie rsetored. Only three month* ago her hiubind, J. E. McMannamy departed this life, and much thy m expreased for the children who are thus suddenly left alone. The deceased was born in Hancock Co, Obi--, February 4. 1849, and wee aged 47 year*, 2 month* and 26 day*, She wa* raartied to John McMaanamy in 1872. and to them were horn 6 cbil Iren. 4 of whom still live to remember her a* • devoted mother. She wes e faithful Christian, sad though a crippled womaa she waa cheerful and patieaL Among the many who attended her funeral were her lathes Ibbm B. I The General Conference is the ' legislative body of the church, the , basis of representation being one ministerial delegate for every fortyfive member* in the annual eonference*, and two lay detente* for each annual cooference. One hundred forty conferences will be represented in the general confer *nce. There are 557 delegate*. The 14 Bishops preside in torn, beginning with the senior Bishop, Bowman. The General Conference is oae of ' the greatest deliberstiv* bodies in ' the world. Delegates from every continent and nearly every country on the ’ globe will be in attendance. Over 30 million Methodists will be ( represented. - - The General Conference will donvene in the new Armory building, I which b*a a seating capacity of 4.000.
