CHRISTMAS MATINEE — This year’s movie “Prancer” will be presented on Saturday, Dec. 8, at 1 and 3:30 p.m. Prior to the showings, Syracuse Retail Merchants purchase matinee tickets and give them away free to children. All proceeds from the movie benefit the the Lakeland Community Day Care Center. Children to see ‘Prancer’

Freeing up mom and dad from the kids on a popular Christmas shopping weekend, “Prancer” will be shown Saturday, Dec. 8, at Pickwick Theatre in Syracuse. Lakeland Day Care Center is sponsoring the matinee, which has two showings at 1 and 3:30 p.m. In addition, Santa Claus will make an appearance in Syracuse. Jolly Old Elf will greet boys and girls at Pickwick Square. Tickets for the movie are being purchased by the Syracuse Retail Merchants. Participating merchants will be giving tickets to either showing away free to youngsters at their places of business. Tickets purchased, but not distributed will be handed out at the theatre door.
