10 YEARS AGO, NOV. 26,1980 State Senator John Augsburger was officially sworn into office on Tuesday, Nov. 18, during the organizational meeting of the General Assembly. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cockburn of P. O. Box 413 Grabill are the parents of a daughter, Mary Kathryn, born at 3:39 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, in the Parkview Memorial Hospital at Fort Wayne. She was welcomed home by sisters, Bethany 3'/z and Amy l‘/ 2 . Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Glen Price of Milford. Sale agreement approved
Lake City Bank and Standard Federal Bank announced the execution of the definitive agreement on Aug. 17, 1990. Now thaf all required regulatory approvals have been received, Grant stated that the two banks plan to complete the proposed sale on Dec. 15 of this year. On Dec. 17, the Goshen and Nappanee branches will open for business as Lake City branch offices with no interruption in the services offered to the customers at these locations. Commenting on this latest news, Ricketts indicated that the transaction was proceeding in a timely and orderly fashion.
