A recliner on wheels was purchased with the funds, and can be used in several positions, enabling patients to receive their treatments sitting up rather than lying down. Clinic director Rita Ross, RN, says the chair, along with two other recliners purchased by the hospital, have provided a real boost to patients’ spirits during treatments. The chairs are flexible enough to be moved from clinic to clinic, shared with other departments and can even be used while performing cardio-pulmonary resuscitation.
