Messy oil bottle I had used paper towels under the bottle of cooking oil to catch drops after seeing how sticky the cupboard shelf was becoming. Next, I tried putting the plastic lid from a food container under the bottle to catch the drops, but it was still a mess. I don’t remember how it happened, but one day I was holding the bottle in one hand and had a plastic sandwich bag in the other and decided to slip the plastic bag over the end of the bottle, leaving the sides open around the bottle to catch the drips running down the sides and still have a clean surface to put it on the shelf.
