Irvin BeMiller Irvin Clayton BeMiller, 64, 305 Indiana Ave., Wakarusa, died of an apparent heart attack at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, 1990, at the home of his daughter in Wakarusa. Born August 26, 1926, in Olive Township, he was the son of Morris Foster and Blanche Elizabeth Canan BeMiller. On July 2, 1949, in Wakarusa, he married Esther Mae Hall; she survives. He was a machinist with NIBCO for 43 years and a member of Jamestown United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are one daughter, Mrs. Steven (Sandra) Gonser, Wakarusa; three brothers, Robert BeMiller, Elkhart, Delbert BeMiller, Goshen, and Carl BeMiller, Syracuse; two sisters, Mrs. Dean (Laianada) Schieber, Wakarusa, and Mrs. Jim (Jean) Geyer, Hendersonville, N.C.; and one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Ann BeMiller. Visitation hours will be from 2-8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Sept. 19, in Lienhart Funeral Home, Wakarusa, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20. Pastor Roger Eberly of Wakarusa Church of the Brethren will officiate. Burial will be in Olive West Cemetery. Jolena Dahl Jolena Emma Dahl, infant daughter of Tom and Marlena Harman Dahl, 302 Administrative Blvd., Winona Lake, died at 1:23 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 1990, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. Surviving in addition to her parents are maternal grandparents, Charles and Mardell Hammack, Warsaw; paternal grandparents, LoaAnn Dahl and Oscar Dahl, both of Syracuse; and a great-grandmother Wanita Kimes, Orlando, Fla. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, in Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Rev. Mark James officiating. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery, Claypool.

Marilyn A. Ellison Marilyn A. Schori Ellison, 62, 6145 Quail St., El Paso, Texas, formerly of Bourbon, died at 1:20 a m. Sunday, Sept. 16,1990, in her sister’s Nappanee home, following an extended illness. Born September 7,1928, in Nappanee, she was the daughter of Marvin and Marie Anglin Huff. On June 4,1947, she married Fred Schori, who died February 24, 1976. On March 26, 1986, she married George Ellison; he survives. Having moved from Bourbon to El Paso two years ago, Mrs. Ellison was employed at Biomet, Warsaw, from 1979 to 1986, and was a factory worker for Manpower from 1986-88. She attended First United Methodist Church, Bourbon, and was a member of Delta Theta Tau Sorority. Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, Dennis Schori and John Schori, both of Warsaw, and Roger Schori, Bourbon; one stepdaughter, Georgeen Ellison, Las Vegas, Nev.; one stepson, Robert Ellison, Momence, Ill.; two grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Claude (Lou) Renwick, South Bend, and Mrs. James (Helen) Miller, Nappanee; and one brother, Phillip Huff, Dunlap. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter and one sister. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, Sept. 19, in Bourbon First United Methodist Church with Rev. Fleming Gertrude M. Fleming, 75, Fort Wayne, formerly of Syracuse, died at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, 1990, in Ossian Health Care Center, Ossian. Born November 29, 1914, in Whitley County, she was the daughter of John and Blanche E. Kinch Fleming.

A Fort Wayne area resident most of her life, she was a retired restaurant cook and a member of Waynedale United Methodist Church. Her survivors include two sisters, Agnes Gillie, Fort Wayne, and Velma Lindstrom, Warren; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held at 11 a m. today, Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Syracuse Cemetery, with Dr. Jim Babbitt officiating. Eastlund-Harris Funeral Home, Syracuse, was in charge of arrangements. Priscilla Haab Priscilla M. Haab, 85, a resident at Lakeland Loving Care Center, Milford, died at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, 1990, in the health care facility. Born June 16, 1905, in Claytonville, 111., she was the daughter of Theodore and Eliza Sutter Haab. A lifetime Milford area resident, she was a retired housekeeper and a member of Apostolic Christian Church, Milford. Her survivors include one sister, Laura Kammerer, Leesburg; three brothers, Jesse Haab, Milford, Harley Haab, New Paris, and Roy Haab, Bluffton; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers. Visitation hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, in the Apostolic Christian Church Fellowship Hall, Milford. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21, in the Apostolic Christian Church, Milford, with the ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery. Mill St., Pierceton, died at 7:51 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, 1990, in Bernard Mitchell Hospital, University of Chicago, Chicago, 111., following an extended illness.

Born September 3, 1971, in Goshen, she was the daughter of Eddie and Judy Burns Hartup. A lifetime Pierceton area resident, she was employed as a laundry attendant at C & B Laundry. She was a member of Pierceton First Baptist Church. Her survivors include her parents, Eddie and Judy Hartup, Pierceton; two sisters, Mrs. Bruce (Kimberly) Rose, Pierceton, and Beth Hartup, Warsaw; one brother, David Hartup, Pierceton; maternal grandmother, Fannie Burns, Rochester; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Gilbert (Helen) Hartup, North Webster; two nephews; and one niece. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, in First Baptist Church, Pierceton, with Pastor Ken McGarvey officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton. Klopenstein, 80, Auburn, died at 8:25 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 1990, in St. Joseph Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born April 15, 1910, in Leesburg, he was the son of Leßoy and Malinda Bushong Klopenstein. On August 29, 1934, in Bloomfield, he married Anel L. Ristow; she survives. Having been ordained in 1935 as a minister in the Church of God, he served in Walnut Grove Church of God in Bloomfield prior to his 12 years at Auburn First Church of God. Reed Carey David Reed, 29, 24316 Merrimac Ln., Elkhart, was found dead Monday morning, Sept. 17,1990, in his home. Born April 25, 1961, in Goshen, he was the son of Stanley Eugene and Harriet A. Wysong Reed. He was employed at the Brick House Inn, Goshen, and was a bartender at Goshen Moose Lodge. He was a member of Moose Lodge 1047, Goshen, and a social member of American Legion Post 484, Millersburg. His survivors include his mother, Harriet Wysong, Millersburg; five brothers, Mike Reed, Conshohocken, Pa.; Bill Reed and Stephen Reed, both of Syracuse; Jeff Reed, Texas; and Mark Reed, Millersburg; and one sister, Mrs. James (Patricia) Kaufman, Millersburg.

Wayne, she married Elmer Rogers, who died December 15, 1971. A Warsaw area resident since 1937, Mrs. Rogers was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, and its Rosary Altar Society. Her survivors include two sons, LaMar Rogers, Warsaw, and Merle Rogers, Springdale, Ark.; two daughters, Rosemary Teepie, Milford, and Clarabelle Eiler, Hazel Green, Ala.; 20 grandchildren; 33 greatgrandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Albert Marquis, Niagara Falls, N.Y., and Herman Marquis, Goshen; and one sister, Irene Cheviron, Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard, on August 1, 1989, and three brothers. Funeral services were held at 10 a m. Why weight? <Goshen General Hospital will present a weight reduction clinic, “Why Weight?’’ beginning Thursday, Sept. 20, at 7 p.m. The clinic will meet for eight consecutive Thursday evenings under the direction of Barbara Fierce, registered dietician at Goshen General Hospital. Fierce will cover strategies in weight reduction and developing healthier eating habits. There will also be two sessions on the importance of physical exercise and conditioning. The first session of the clinic will be presented in Solarium, Goshen General Hospital. There is a participation fee. Preregistration is required. Those interested should contact the education department at 533-2141, ext. 1104. Car vandalized A 1989 Pontiac owned by James and Judy Heckaman, East Fourth Street, Milford, was vandalized Sunday morning, Sept. 16, after 2 a.m. when someone threw acid on it. Damage was listed at SI,OOO to the paint.
