Kosciusko County Sheriff’s '. Department DUI Patrol the past two weekends were worked by four officers involving 28 man hours. The special patrols were June 22-23 and June 29-30. set around the Mermaid Festival in North Webster. Officers patrolled Turkey

Items taken from boats at Main Channel Marina
A large number of thefts have been reported to Syracuse Police by persons owning boats docked at Main Channel Marina. Tony Messuri, Fort Wayne, reported on Sunday. July 1. at 12:20 p.m.. that the rear canvas on his 19-foot Bayliner had been opened and a depth finder stolen The fishing equipment is valued atslßo. A television. VCR cassette player and binoculars were taken from a 26-foot Bayliner Cabin Cruiser owned by Ronald Wilson. Elkhart. The theft was reported at 1:05 p.nf., Saturday. June 30, and is believed to have occurred within the past week. The value of the items stolen has been estimated at S3OO. George Anderson, Elkhart, found that a color television was taken from his 24-foot Bayliner after a person or persons snapped a lock on a door in the cabin area. The theft was reported at 12:58 p.m., Saturday, June 30. and had occurred between Saturday. June 23. and that day. The television is valued at $250 and there was $250 damage to the cabin door. Tom Palmer, Mishawaka, found a thief or thieves took a small tool box with various tools from his 24-foot Bayliner after a hatch was opened to gain entry. He reported the theft at 7:50 pm . Friday. June 29. The theft is believed to have occurred earlier that morning or the day before At 8:05 p.m.. Friday. June 29. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Losee of Milford are the parents of their first child, a son, Charles Ronald, born at 5:47 p.m. on June 11 in the South Bend Osteopathic Hospital. Charles Ronald weighed in at 10 pounds, one ounce and measured 20'2 inches long. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Duncan. Milford, returned from their honeymoon trip in Hawaii on Saturday, June 28. The Duncans went to five of the islands and took several tours and enjoyed dinners. The Milford Girls All Star Team won the tourney at the North Webster Mermaid Festival recently. In three games, Milford scored 87 runs and had 95 hits.
