Monster truck show at Trojan Track on Saturday, June 23
A rip-roaring good time will on hand for the first-ever Monster Truck Show, Saturday, June 23, at 8 p.m. The show is being sponsored by Lakeside Chevrolet, WBTU, and Subway. It can be seen at the Trojan Motorcycle Track south on SR 13. The American Motorsports show will be jammed pack with Ski-Bees to continue tradition Continuing with a 30 or more year tradition, the North Webster Ski Bees Water Ski Show Team will be performing yet another show for the annual Mermaid Festival. Judy Harris explains that the Mermaid Festival program is one of the biggest shows of the year, “We’ll have a little bit of everything. It will be your average type of ski show.” The Ski Bees have approximately 150 members. Os the members only 30-40 are skiers, the rest remain behind the scenes. The Ski Bees will provide two free shows on June 30, at 2 p.m. and again at 6 p.m. The show will run for approximately one hour and will be performed on the waters of the North Webster Town Beach.

MONSTER TRUCK SHOW — People who love lots of action will find it here at the American Motorsports Monster Truck Show. The show will be a part of the Mermaid festivities. It will be at the Trojan Track, Saturday, June 23, at 8 p.m.
plenty of action throughout the hour and half long performance. There will be a motorcycle stunt show, an obstacle course competition for the Monster Trucks, high flying car crushing, and total destruction of cars. A special feature will even include a Monster Tryc -a huge threewheeler. Everyone can be a part of the action. Free monster rides will be given to youths 12 years and younger. The big kids can even get involved the local truck “Beauty Contest.” The winner will be decided through audience
participation. Truck owners interested in entering the contest can contact the North Webster Lions Club, or chairman of the show Bob Richards at 594-2760. The show will go on, rain or shine, and is open to people of all ages. Advanced tickets can be purchased at Lakeside Chevrolet, Subway, or members of the North Webster Lions Club. Chicken BBQ to be held on June 23 As part of the Mermaid Festival activities, Mid-Lakes Lions Club of Oswego and North Webster Lions Club will be cosponsoring a chicken barbecue on Saturday, June 23. This year’s event, which is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. and will continue until all the chicken is sold, will be “carry-out only.” The Lions will be selling 500 chicken halves. The chicken barbecue will be held on the south end lawn of the Palace of Sports in North Webster.
