TCRSD providing sanitary sewers to homes in Lake Wawasee area

Formed with the initial purpose of addressing wastewater treatment problems in areas generally surrounding Lake Wawasee, the Turkey Creek Regional Sewer District has been working toward the completion of this goal since its inception in October of 19771 And in spite of the many hurdles the TCRSD has faced in its 13-year-old history, it is now successfully providing a new sanitary sewage system for some areas within the district. The areas to be served by the project are

Other areas to be served Highland View Gardens, Hess Addition, Leeland Addition, Marineland Gardens, Bayshore and Cottingham Beach. Morrison Island, and Natti Crow Beach. These latter areas will be served by what has been called the Wawasee Water and Sewer Company which has been acquired by the district and will be modernized. This summer, while construction is underway, residents and visitors to the Lakeland area may experience some difficulties in maneuvering around in additions off of the main roads. Particularly in areas where the (Continued on page 9)
