NAPA supplies customers with quality auto parts

NAPA Auto Parts has a simple, welldefined goal — to supply customers with quality parts at a good price in the shortest period of time. NAPA Auto Parts-Warsaw believes in this goal and their growth measures their success. In 1955, NAPA Auto Parts-Warsaw was opened at 417 E. Winona Avenue. The business was moved to 322 N. Detroit Street in 1966. In 1983, the firm moved into a new, modern building at 812 N. Detroit Street, across from Zimmer. Their present facility has over 15,000 square feet and a large parking area. NAPA Auto Parts-Warsaw experienced its first major expansion in 1982 when they opened NAPA Auto Parts-Syracuse. The Syracuse store is located in Wawasee Village on SR 13 South. The business had another major expansion in 1989, when NAPA Auto Parts-North Webster became a reality. NAPA Auto Parts-Warsaw has the area's largest inventory of parts and supplies. In addition to parts for cars and light trucks, the store also features parts for heavy duty trucks, farm tractors and equipment, industrial equipment, boats and RVs, motorcycles and snowmobiles, and other gas and diesel powered equipment. Foreign cars are not foreign to NAPA. Parts are readily available for all import cars and trucks. In addition to their large inventory, NAPA Auto Parts-Warsaw also offers complete machine shop service. Shop foreman Dean Hudson, who has a strong background in building performance engines, is assisted by machinist Doug Drudge. Both men have the knowledge and equipment to rebuild gas and diesel motors of all types. The machine shop also offers valve grindng, resurfacing, drum, rotor and flywheel turning, complete hydraulic hose assemblies and other services.

NAPA Auto Parts-Warsaw, Syracuse and North Webster are supplied daily by the NAPA Distribution Center in Fort Wayne. Same-day service is available to customers needing less popular parts that may not be in stock. The stores in Syracuse and North Webster are also supplied twice-daily from the larger inventory of the Warsaw store. Computer technology also gives the three stores the ability to locate hard-to-find parts and draw from the inventories of 19 NAPA Distribution Centers throughout the Midwest. People are what really make a business successful. Twenty people are employed by the three stores and between them they have more than 200 years experience. Dick Witt, owner of the stores, has been involved with NAPA throughout his career. Recently he was named to the NAPA National Advertising and Marketing Council. In that capacity he will represent the interests of the 665 stores in NAPA’s Central Division and plan marketing programs for all of NAPA. Bob Seiffert is the sales manager of the organization. Assisted by Ted Barton, .Seiffert is responsible for calling on established accounts, providing technical training opportunities for area mechanics and garage owners, and implementing the NAPA Auto Care programs. Seiffert has been with NAPA since 1973 and has been twice named outstanding salesman of the year by the NAPA Fort Wayne Distribution Center; Barton has been with the company for 11 years. Rick Glass is the manager of NAPA Auto Parts-Warsaw. He is responsible for all advertising programs, in-store promotions and personnel training and supervision. He has been with NAPA for 12 years.
