Warriors go 1-1 on weekend now 4-6 on season

Swimmers notch close win over Penn to go 6-2

ASC GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNEY — Bill Fowler has been named general chairman of the ASC golf championship tourney which will be held July 3(1 at South Shore Golf Club, Syracuse. Fowler moved from Marion to become a resident of this area in June of last year. The Fowlers reside in the Leeland Edition on Lake Wawasee. The donations derived from this tournament will help support the American Cancer Society’s research, education, and service -programs. This will mark the fourth year for this most sue* cessful event.

JV Loses To Pilgrims The Warrior JV squad slipped to 4-5 on the season after sputtering on the offensive end of the court during a 38-25 setback to the Plymouth JV team. Sophomore Mason Robbins paced the squad with eight points while Geoff Coburn and Kyle Newcomer each tossed in four points for the Warriors. Gymnastics squad opens season with a pair of wins

Picking up where it left off with last season's success, the Wawasee girls' gymnastics squad began the 1990 season on a positive note with victories over East Noble and Fort Wayne Northside in triangular meet action at East Noble on Monday evening ~ The Lady Warriors, 2-0, totaled 93.8 points on the varsity level to outdistance East Noble (88.65) and Northside (76.7) in the season opener for coach Tracy Sumpter's squad. ■ Senior Angela Kistler led the way for the Lady Warriors as the letterwinner took firsts in the bar competition and balance beam routine en route to the top allaround effort for the meet.
