FLOYD BAKER Floyd H. Baker Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 6, at 2 p.m. in EastlundHarris Funeral Home, Syracuse, for Floyd H. Baker, 84, Wooster, Ohio, formerly of North Webster. He died Sunday, Dec. 31, 1989, at 11:10 p.m. in Wooster Community Hospital. The son of John M. and Pauline Knecht Baker, he was born in Huntington on January 21, 1905. On February 28,1929, he married Ruth Fulton. She preceded him in death in April 1989. From 1949-1967 he served as advisory coach and vice principal at North Webster High School, served for 12 years as a member of the Lakeland Community School Board and was a member of the Indiana High School Athletic Association’s Board of Control from 1958-1963. His career as a teacher and'advisory coach started in Ohio, where he coached from 1931-1945. In 1987, he moved from North Webster to Wooster. He formerly owned and operated a log cabin resort on Kuhn Lake, was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Syracuse, and Mizpah Shrine in Fort Wayne. Surviving are one son, Barry N. Baker, Wooster, Ohio; four grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren. Rev. Richard Dunning will officiate at the services. Burial will follow in North Webster Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services Saturday in the funeral home.

Brady Stump Services were held Thursday, Dec. 28, at 1 p.m. in St. JohnWhite Funeral Home, Reading, Mich., for Brady Stump, 42, 1114 East Wellington, Warsaw. He died Monday, Dec. 25, 1989, in Kosciusko Community Hospital. He was born on July 1, 1947, to Herbert and Elaine Travis Stump. He married Ilene Mann on July 1,1989; she survives. Stump was a self-employed contractor. He formerly resided in Hillsdale County, Mich. Surviving in addition to his wife are his mother, Elaine Stump, Hillsdale, Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Melissa) Coburn, Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Tim (Denise) Gendron, Detroit, Mich.; three sons, James Stump, Warsaw, Dennis Forrester, Camden, Mich., and Richard Forrester, Dallas, Texas; seven grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Ronald (Evelyn) Reynolds, Warsaw, Mrs. Larry (Patricia) Taylor, Convoy, Ohio, Mrs. Robert (Maryola) Keller, Leesburg, Mrs. Edward (Robbie) Percy, Camden, Mich., and Mrs. Eric (Melinda) Matheny, Hillsdale, Mich.; and six brothers, Roger, Warren, Charles, and George Stump, all of Hillsdale, Mich., Herbert Stump, Jr., Silver Lake, and Robert Stump, Jackson, Mich. Burial was in the Stump family cemetery in Hillsdale County, Mich. Winnie M. Adkins Services were held Saturday, Dec. 30, at 1:30 p.m. in UlreyRenner Funeral Home, Ligonier, for Winnie Mae Adkins, 88, Kimmell. She died Thursday, Dec. 28, 1989, at 1:30 a.m. in Heritage Manor Health Care Center, Ligonier. She was born in Menifee County, Ky., on May 6, 1901, to Jonathon and Frances Lawson Back. She was married to Martin Adkins who preceded her in death. Mrs. Adkins was -a homemaker. Surviving are one sister, Nancy Spencer, Mt. Sterling, Ky.; two nephews, John Scarbeary, Syracuse, and Alva Scarbeary, Fort Wayne; and one niece, Zelma Spencer, Kimmell. David Wheat, pastor of the Church of Christ, officiated at the services. Burial was in Sparta Cemetery.
Bobby J. Bailey Bobby J. Bailey, 50, 7731 Acrocomia Drive, Hanover, Md., and formerly of Milford, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 1989, at 9:15 a.m. in his home following an extended illness. He was born in Sledge, Miss., on July 16, 1939, to Eldridge and Becky Free Bailey. On May 9, 1964, he married Dorothy Carlson; she survives. Bailey was a retired intelligence agent with the US Army and hgd resided in Hanover since 1979, coming from Germany. Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Vicki and Linda Bailey, both at home; one son, \ Scott, at home; his father and stepmother, Eldridge and Kay Bailey, Milford; and one brother, Rodney Bailey, Bremen. Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, in EastlundMishler Funeral Home, Milford, with Chris Mahan of Milford Christian Church officiating. Burial followed in Milford Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Earl Conley Earl Conley, 70, 6459 Easter Cay, Lantana, Fla., died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 1989, in a Florida Hospital. He was the father of Kim Conley Emery of North Webster. Conley had formerly resided in Silver Lake and Warsaw. was a veteran of the US Army and had served during World War 11. Also surviving are his wife, Luciana Powers Conley, Lantana and Warsaw; one additional daughter, Karen Nichols, Warsaw; one granddaughter; and three brothers, William, Clyde, and Dennie Conley. He was preceded in death by one sister. Funeral services in Warsaw will be in the spring of 1990. Dorsey Funeral Home, Lake Worth. Fla., was in charge of arrangements. Pauline S. Thompson Pauline S. Thompson, 73, 65642 CR3, Wakarusa, died at 5:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29,1989. in the home of her son, Larry, in Nappanee. She had been in ill health for six months. She was born on December 3. 1916, in Wakarusa, to Martin and Alice Bollinger Metzler. On September 5, 1937, she married Leo Thompson who preceded her in death on April 2,1980. She was a lifetime resident of the area and a summer resident of Lake Wawasee. She was a housewife and worked as a nurse's aide at Elkhart General Hospital for 23 years. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church. Wakarusa Domestic Club, Wakarusa Historical Society, lifetime member of Hubbard Hill Auxiliary, and a volunteer at Miller’s Merry Manor. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Dale (Sally) Housour, Wakarusa; two sons,' Dean Thompson, Stuarts Draft, Va., and Larry Thompson. Nappanee; one sister, Mrs. Victor (Inez) Eby, Wakarusa; six grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother and one granddaughter. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 1, in Bible Baptist Church, Wakarusa. Officiating was Rev. Harlan Steffen of Wawasee Lakeside Chapel, assisted by Dr. Merle Pederson of Bible Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Aux Chandelles Foundation. Eugene H. He was born in Oklahoma on November 12, 1911, the son of Lloyd J. and Lulu Doty Felkner. He was married to Ruth Fuller • who preceded him in death. He moved from Milford to California 30 years ago. He had been employed as a tooling engineer for McDonald-Douglas in California for 30 years. Surviving are one grandson, Gregory Robertson, San Diego, Calif.; one granddaughter, Lynne Laney, Peculiar, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Myrtle Felkner, Milford; one niece, Joan (Felkner) Sparks, Milford; and one nephew, Jim Felkner, Syracuse. He was preceded in death by one brother, Herbert (Bud) Felkner , of Milford and one daughter, '•Alice Felkner Robertson. Services were held Thursday, Dec. 28, at 2:30 p.m. in Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, Calif,, with burial in Rose Hills Memorial Park. The body was cremated. Biltz, 75, r 7, Green Acres, Warsaw, sister of Mrs. Deda Kehler, Barbee Lake, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 1989, at 4:30 a.m. in Prairie View Health Center following an extended illness. She was born in Silver Lake on November 9, 1914, to Edward and Lottie Shoemaker Clink. On November 29, 1938, she married Edgar C. Biltz. He preceded her in death on November 18,1984. She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County and retired from Sun Metal Co. in Warsaw. Additional survivors are two sons, Edgar Biltz, Jr., and Jack Biltz, both of Warsaw; 10 grandchildren; and 20 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter and one grandson. Louis J. Hasse Louis J. Hasse, 84, Lakeland Loving Care Center, Milford, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 1990, at 3:35 a.m. in the center. He was born in Klassville on June 7, 1905, to Anthony and Bertha Krempel Hasse. In 1957, he moved to Dewart Lake from Lake County. He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, Syracuse. Surviving are one sister, Matilda Hasse, Milford, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers. Services will be held Thursday, Jan. 4, at 10 a m. in St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church with Father Richard Urbine officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Tossell, 76, formerly of r 9 Suburban Acres, Warsaw, died Sunday. Dec. 31.1989, at 6:10 a.m. in Mason Health Care Center. She had been in ill health for sometime. She was the mother of Mrs. George (Marilyn) Hulet, Leesburg. The daughter of William and Martha Harper Gunter, she was born in Sidney on January 30, 1913. On August 11,1932, she married William Klauk, who died on September 5, 1951. On August 14, 1953, she married Alfred Tossell. He preceded her in death on June 2,1970. She was a homemaker and a lifetime Kosciusko County resident. Also surviving are an additional daughter, Mrs. Weldon (Janet) Nuell, Warsaw; seven grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; and one brother, Jessie Gunter, Finton, Del. Two

BECKY HEPLER HAS SURGERY Becky Hepler, an employee at Ameritrust in Syracuse, fell and broke her left leg Thursday evening, Dec. 29, at her home. Friday morning she underwent surgery in Kosciusko Community Hospital. She is now recouperating at home, r 1 box 96C, Warsaw. Thomas E. Rector Thomas Edward Rector, 36, Wilmington, Del., formerly of North Webster, died Monday, Jan. 1, 1990, at 1:15 a.m., the result of a pedestrian-automobile accident. He was born in Grand Rapids, Mich., on February 18, 1953, to Orville and Yvonne Staats Rector. He was employed with TCF Cable Co. in Wilmington. Surviving are his mother, Yvonne Staats of Leesburg; three sisters, Peggy Garrison, New Paris, Katherinfc Griffin, Dardanelle, Ark., and Carol Fulford, Mishawaka; two brothers, Robert, Cromwell, and James, Nappanee; several nieces and nephews; and material grandfather, Jesse Staats, Evart, Mich. There will be no visitation as the body will be cremated. Graveside services will be held at a later date in North Webster Cemetery.
