8-5, 26-11 and 34-20 at each of the quarter stops before the final 10-point win. In addition to Lambert's gamehigh 21 points, which included two three-pointers, Geoff Coburn scored eight and Kyle Newcomer added six. Setback To Warsaw A slow start was just what the Warriors didn't need at the Tiger Den Friday, but that's what happened as Warsaw jumped to a 13-2 lead and never looked back in coasting to a 92-57 win over Wawasee. "We had a couple of positive situations at the start of the game that ended up turning into negatives for us and that really hurt our chances," said Goshert The hosts led 20-12 before a rebound basket at the buzzer byAaron Bair ended the first quarter at 22-12. The basket was just the start of bad things for the Warriors as Goshert, protesting vehemently to the officials about (he lack of an over the-back foul on the play, was slapped with two technicals. Senior guard Frank Berg of the Tigers converted three of four free throws before the second quarter even began and from there it was all downhill for the Warriors. "We came out in good shape with the lead early in the game, although you have to give Wawasee credit because they hustled and battled us on every play.'' commented Warsaw coach Al Rhodes after seeing his squad remain perfect at 5-0. In a tough and physical contest that saw bodies fly to the court on more than one occasion, the War riors were not helped by the fact that starter Tim Lilly was lost early in the contest after suffering a broken nose. The Warriors did receive a couple of fine efforts from the bench, as juniors Garland and Chad Hoffert responded on offense with 16 and 10 points, respectively. , “I thought that we learned some things out there tonight and made some improvements, but a lull in the last two minutes or so before halftime (outscored 11-3> really hurt us. " commented Goshert Rhodes commented that the contest was a rugged one that saw his squad not play as well as they are capable, despite the lop sided win "Overall, we had another solid team effort with a
