Laurie Schultheiss weds Steven Gagnon
Laurie Schultheiss, Elkhart, and Steven Gagnon, Leesburg, were united in marriage on May 13, 1989, in a 2 p.m. ceremony in Warsaw Missionary Church. Officiating the double ring ceremony before 170 guests were Rev. Myron Young and Rev. James Breniser of Warsaw Missionary. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Doug Richards of Elkhart. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Gagnon, Leesburg. The altar was decorated with flowers in a lavendar theme and two white baskets. Organist for the ceremony was Millicent Young of Vincennes who played the wedding march and other hymns. Chris Bontrager, Goshen, was the soloist, singing “O Perfect Love,” "Happy the Home W'hen God,” and “Now Thank We All Our God.” The soloist was accompanied by her mother, Roberta Breniser, at the piano. The wedding march and other hymns were played on the trumpet by Rusty Young. For the wedding, the bride wore a floating opal necklace and matching earrings, which were a gift from her mother. In remembrance of Mother's Day, the groom presented the mothers with bouquets of artificial flowers.

Second annual Halloween Munchkinland
Kosciusko Community Theatre announces its second annual Halloween Munchkinland at Ace Hardware on October 27 and 28. Ghosts and goblins and spooks of all sizes will be there to make everyone’s Halloween fun a little special. There will be games of all kinds: Toss a Spider. Tumble a Pumpkin. Feel a Blob, Meet a Monster, as well as a walk through a graveyard, face painting, apple grabbing, and picture coloring and many other eerie attractions. Lots of prizes as well as

DARE program presented to Lions
Calvin Kline, deputy marshall of the Syracuse Police Department. presented a program to the Syracuse Lions on DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) at the club's meeting on Wednesday. Oct: 18. Using a video tape, followed by a question-and-answer tape. Kline stressed the value of DARE as a valuable tool in helping the students respond to various types of abusive substances. He stated that he presented the material in a classroom situation, followed by having lunch with the students, then spent the remain-

The bride’s attendants were attired in tea-length lavender gowns of satin and lace, with headdresses of lavender flowers and baby’s breath. The matron of honor carried a white basket with a bouquet of white carnations, baby’s breath and fem. The bridesmaids carried matching white baskets with bouquets of white carnations, miniature lavender mums, baby’s breath and fern. Gary Wilkinson, South Whitley, stood as the best man. Groomsmen were Jeff Bridegam, Columbia City, and Mark Lambright, Goshen. Ushering at the ceremony were Tim Moore, Goshen, and Jeff Miller, Pierceton. Mother of the bride wore an opera-length lavender gown with a scooped neckline and a ribbon belt. The groom’s mother wore a strhet-length rose colored jacket and skirt with a coordinating blouse. which they arranged themselves. A reception followed the wedding at the Warsaw Center Lake Pavilion. The pavilion was decorated with large lavender and white bells and lavender and grey streamers. The wedding party table was decorated with a bride and groom figurine. The newlyweds’ name was decorated with small white bells above the wedding party table. Hostess for the reception was Shirley Lantz. Serving at the reception were Darla Gagnon, Warsaw; Brenda Cramer, Warsaw; Diane Leatherman, Goshen; and Kim Miller, Pierceton. Eva Gagnon was in charge of the guest book. For their wedding trip, the couple went to the Poconos in Pennsylvania. They now reside at r 2 box 103A, Claypool. A 1982 graduate of Concord High School, the bride also earned associate’s degrees from Vincennes University in 1984 and 1988, and a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in 1986. She is currently employed at Key Pharmacy. The groom graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1983 and earned degrees from Fort Wayne Bible College and Vincennes University.

Hosting the reception were Bob and Marguerite Hoerr and Louie and Mim Speicher, uncles and aunts of the bride all from Milford. Serving were Tracy Sumpter, Syracuse; Julie Doll, Leesburg, cousin of the bride; Nikki Speicher, Nappanee, cousin of the bride; and Kerri Speicher, Milford, cousin of the bride. Dawn Speicher. Milford, and Missy Speicher, Nappanee, cousins of lhe bride, were in charge of the guest book. The bride is a 1986 graduate of Wawasee High School and will graduate in 1990 from Purdue University in West Lafayette with a BS degree in nursing. She is presently a nurse at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw. Her husband is a 1987 graduate of Wawasee High School and will graduate in 1991 from Purdue University with a BS degree in mechanical engineering. He is presently an engineer at Zimmer Manufacturing in Warsaw. The newlyweds took a honeymoon trip to Disney World and Fort Myers, Fla. They are now residing at 309 S. Henry St., Milford.
