Women's Class at the Milford church was initiated in April of 1988 as a temporary, trial class. Aimed at divorced and married women alike, the Bible study was to provide a more personal and private atmosphere for women. Carole says. "The original idea was not pull women out of other classes, but rather bring in those who felt uncomfortable with the groups they were in” consisting primarily of couples. She adds.

known as Covenant Players. In 1963. Charles M. Tanner was a writer, producer and director in Hollywood. He didn't approve of the direction the movie industry was taking and decided to break away. Tanner wrote an original oneact play, and with the aide of some friends, performed for a local church. They were well accepted. That was only the beginning of the travelling drama-music ministry. Tanner made a covenant with God. He would do God s work if God w ould take care of his needs. That first small group of actors has grown to well over 500 dramatists. Players' coverage is worldwide, with drama and music programs being available in 75 countries. To make this globe-spanning mission possible, various members of the organization can speak a total of 15 foreign languages. The United States, alone, is divided into 68 regions, with a Covenant Unit assigned to each region. Each unit spends four months in a region, and then is reassigned to a new area with new team members. The number of plays in the troups' repertoire has grown to over 2.000. Charles Tanner is the sole writer and produces around 150 manuscripts per year. These plays are all Christian oriented and cover any topic that concerns mankind, from getting into Heaven to drug abuse in society. Covenant Player units can be found in churches, public or Christian schools, nursing homes, or on military posts. A program can be specifically designed to fit the needs of the sponsoring organization Length of presentation can range from a couple of minutes, to one and a half hours Players will perform wherever

Class is not a Support group, however, prior to the start of the Bible study there is a sharing time when the women can discuss with the group any problems they may have or ask for advice. “We’re small, but we’re mighty,” she says. Carole came up with the idea for the Women’s Class in May of last year. "I felt God was telling me to do it,” she says. Having

WORD of GOD

Are you a spiritual millionaire living as though you are a pauper? If you have accepted Christ, been baptized with the Holy Spirit then you have, by the Grace of God, been given the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. If you’re not using them, you are like the man who lives in a one-room shack not realizing that he has a million dollars in the bank. Jesus said: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10
