I By MITCHELL STINSON Sports Writer The undefeated streak continued for Wawasee High School harriers at North Wood yesterday (Tuesday), as both the boys’ and girls' teams came away with double victories in tri-meet action. Senior Jason Douglas led the boys to a 22-35 victory over North Wood and a 15-50 win against Jimtown. Douglas took first in a time of 16 minutes and 51 seconds, while teammate Eric Streby captured second in 17:08. Warriors Eric Mock and Cuong Reed took fourth and fifth place, respectively. Other Wawasee runners in the top 10 were Ryan Shoemaker (9th) and Chad Jones (10th). Wawasee coach JerryMinton said his team recorded some pretty good performances, considering the course they were running on. “W'e ran pretty well for it being a slow course." he said. I By SCOTT DAVIDSON Sports Writer The Wawasee boys' tennis team slipped to 7-3 on the season (1-3 in the NLC) after suffering a 3-2 loss to conference rival Warsaw last night (Tuesday) on the Warrior Courts. The victory upped the Tigers season mark to 5-2 (3-oin theNLC). “We knew that we would have to win both of the doubles matches and then get one of the singles spots to beat them and we just didn't do it." said coach Roger Brady. At the number-one singles position, Jason Hollar was defeated 0-6, 2-6 by Chris McCleary. Volleyball squad beats Westview

I By SCOTT DAVIDSON Sports Writer The Wawasee girls' volleyball squad went to 2-9 on the season after recording a 15-8. 15-11 win over visiting Westview Mondayevening. "The girls pulled together and even though we had some problems with our serving, our hitting was more consistent and that was a good sign" said coach Jill Yoder after the victory. Kriss Eisenhour led the way for the winners with 12 spikes and two kills. Diane Karst contributed 11 spikes and three kills while teammate Angela Kistler had eight assists. Paige Price turned in the top serving effort for the squad, netting eight service points. The Wawasee junior varsity team went to 5-3 on the year with a 16-14,15-6 win oyer Westview.
