The dispatcher advised a caller to check with directory assistance. The caller requested the telephone number for the Clinton Township Fire Department. FRIDAY, AUG. 4 A Syracuse resident called the dispatcher to find out if a group soliciting funds were all right. The Indiana Highway Patrol or Indiana Fraternal Order of Police were soliciting funds for various programs. A check with the police chief found he knew nothing about the solicitation and encouraged persons to donate money to the local department. A scanner in a home kept police from answering a complaint about loud music. The dispatcher received a call of loud music from a nome on Harkless Drive, south of Macy's. The officer went to that area but reported he did not hear any music. It was then reported that the persons in the home may have a scanner. Five minutes later the officer drove back around that area and heard the music. He went to the home and told them to turn the music down SUNDAY. AUG. 6 One of the lake patrol officers reported finding a paddle boat The boat was taken to his home until the owner is located.
