Three fires in Syracuse

Syracuse Fire Department responded to three fires during the past week. At 6:13 a.m., this morning (.Wednesday) firemen were called to Dairy Queen when smoke was reported inside the building. Fire officials were quickly at the scene and reported the fire had extinguished itself. It is believe the fire was in a light ballast. No further information is available. A spark from a plug wire started an motorcycle on fire Monday, July 31, at 6:51 p.m.. at the home of Robert Rose. 618 S. Harrison Street. Fire officials

Firemen were called to the home of Ernest Knepp, 418 South Lake St., Wednesday, July 26, around noon, when smoke was reported in the attic. Information received indicates a short in the attic wiring caused a fire in the insulation. Damage was contained to the wiring and insulation.
