Mrs. Yeager studied studio portraiture with Leonard Levy, a Boston-based pro who travels and teaches across the country, and is currently a studio consultant for Eastman Kodak. Levy teaches a traditional style of posing and lighting. Much of the week was also devoted to discussion of the business aspects of operating a photographic studio. In addition to bringing refinements of their craft home to Syracuse, each of the Yeagers were awarded a merit by the Professional Photographers of America. The merits can be applied toward the master of photography degree. The Mid-America Institute utilizes the facilities of the University of Northern lowa and Hawkeye Institute of Technology to bring this unique educational experience to more than 350 working professional photographers on an annual basis.

The residents and their degrees are: Andrea Stoller, Syracuse, master of arts in elementary education; Janet Hile, 2501 Westwood Road, Winona Lake, master of business administration; Diane Daily, r 1, North Webster, bachelor of arts in Spanish and geography; and Gregory Marsh, r 9, Warsaw, bachelor of science in industrial arts.
