Wawasee Flotilla i July 2 r ■■■ WELCOME ALL — Wawaseal stands guard on SR 13 in Syracuse and welcome all to attend the Flotilla on Lake Wawasee on July 2. Flotilla events get underway on June 29 with a joint concert by the Elkhart Municipal Band and Lakes Area Symphonic Band and will continue through July 12 w hen a salad bar luncheon will be served by the United Methodist Women of the St. Andrew’s church. The annual flotilla on Lake Wawasee will be held on Sunday, July 2. The day will begin at 8:30 a.m. with boat-in worship services at Oakwood Park. A balloon release will take place at 1 p.m. at the old fish hatchery with the flotilla moving out immediately after the release. Sunday’s events will conclude with Big Bam Boom fireworks on Lake Wawasee at 9:45 p.m. The fireworks will be set off in the center of the big lake to give as many people as possible the best possible view.
