Garry D. Gregory, 40, r 1, Leesburg, was charged with driving under the influence and public intoxication following an accident Sunday, June 25, at 5:30 a.m., on US 30, east of CR 250E. Gregory was traveling west on US 30 when his 1979 Cadillac went off the north side of the road into a ditch, hitting a post. Damage to the vehicle was estimated up to SI,OOO. No damage to the pole was listed. Three people complained of pain to their entire body after a one-vehicle accident Sunday, June2s, at 6:07 p.m., on CR 1350 N and CR 200W. The driver, Tim Adkins, 22, MD Acres, Lot 9, Nappanee, was cited for operating a vehicle without financial responsibility. Adkins and passenger’s in his vehicle, Paige Warriner, 24, MD Acres, Lot 9, Nappanee; and Brian McVey, 23, MD Acres, Lot 9, Nappanee, all complained of pain to their bodies. The accident occurred when Adkins’ 1974 Chevrolet Blazer dropped off the north side of the road, grazing a utility pole before going back onto the roadway. The blazer then went off the south side of the road hitting a fence owned by Glen Miller, r 1 box 186, Milford, and rolling over twice. Damage to the blazer was estimated up to $2,500 and under S2OO to the fence. There was no damage to the pole. Donald H. Roy, 30, r 1 box 168, Kimmel, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, following a one-vehicle accident Saturday, June 24, at 1:05 a.m., on Backwater Road, south of North Webster. Ray was driving a 1977 Jeep east on Backwater Road when it went off the roadway and hit a fence owned by Chuck Brower, r 1, North Webster. Damage to the Jeep, registered to Ernest Stricklin, r 2 box 93, North Webster, was estimated up to SI,OOO. There was no estimate given for the fence. Dean Grove, 33, r 7 box 198-3, Warsaw, was cited for leaving the scene of an accident, following a two-vehicle accident Friday, June 23, at 2 a.m., at SR 13 north of CR 1000 N. Police report Peter A. Boeck, 22, 200 Seminary Dr., Winona Lake, was driving his 1979 Chevrolet Chevette north on SR 13 when he saw the southbound 1982 Buick, driven by Woman falls from motorcycle On Tuesday, June 20, at 7 p.m., Tammy Grass, 18, r 2, Leesburg, fell from the seat of a motorcycle to the ground. She was a passenger on the cycle which was being driven by David Wagoner, 20, box 116, Leesburg. He was accelerating in a private drive at RAP Automotive, 64358 US 33, south of Goshen, when the incident occurred. Goshen' Aedics were called and transported the young woman to Goshen Hospital where she was treated and released. Truck Strikes Pole Sharon Rogers, 34, Villa Apartments, Milford, was backing from her residence and the 1984 Chevrolet truck she was driving struck a NIPSCO pole. Grove lost control of his vehicle spinning out of control hitting the Chevette in the rear with the back end of his vehicle. Damage to Grove’s vehicle was estimated up to $2,500 and up to SI,OOO to Boeck’s vehicle. One-Vehicle Accident Lynn A. Tunnat, 22, 504 SR 331 N, Bremen, was taken to Goshen Hospital after she complained of pain to her chest following a one-vehicle accident Sunday, June 18, at 4:15 a.m., at Country Cove and Hillside Dr., west of Syracuse. FIREMEN’S ATTIRE — Christan, Natalie and Sarah Lowry, all daughters of Craig and Jennifer Lowry of Indianapolis, tried on Fire Chief Jerry Byrd's firefighting attire last Sunday morning during the Wawasee Property Owners Association pancake breakfast. The girls were breakfast guests of their grandparents, Edward and Alice Lowry. The Lowrys are summer residents of Johnson’s Bay and have a home in Logansport. Mrs. Lowry commented that her grandchildren are all good swimmers to visit the lake on weekends and during vacations. Christan, age 12. is learning to pilot a small boat this summer. Her sister, Natalie, is six years old and Sarah is nine. Assisting the youngsters with the firemen’s equipment is First Assistant Chief Joe Anderson. The Syracuse-Turkey Creek Township Fire Department displayed its new firefighting and rescue equipment during the WPOA annual breakfast.

TO RELOCATE PRACTICE — Michael R. Williams, MD, family practitioner, will be relocating his practice from Warner Addition to SR 13 on the north side of North Webster. This move should occur in August and will allow expansion of Dr. Williams’ medical practice not only in terms of working space but also in regard to medical services provided. Dr. Williams is currently the chief of staff at Kosciusko Community Hospital and serves as an advisor for the Child Protective Services of the welfare department. He has previously served as medical director of the Warsaw Well Child Clinic and on the board of the Beaman Home and Red Cross.
