The queen is the girl who I 11 I RECENTLY APPOINTED — Normalee Lozier has been appointed loan interviewer for the Mutual Federal Savings Bank's North Webster office. Lozier joined the banking staff in 1980 and has held various positions since that time. She is currently serving as treasurer of Altrusa Club of Warsaw and will become the vice president on July 1. She is also treasurer for the American Heart Association of Kosciusko County and is active in 4-H, as well as being a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Warsaw. Lozier is a lifetime resident of Warsaw and a graduate of Leesburg High School. She has also taken numerous Institute of Financial Education classes. She resides in Warsaw with her husband Joe. They have four children and two grandchildren.

The 4-H Rocket club led by Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hedington had its fifth rocket launch on Saturday, June 23, at Creighton field in Warsaw. Roll call was taken and the launch was started. The highest was Richard Rhodes, whose rocket went 1,330 feet and the next highest was Kris Sipress, whose rocket went 900 feet. 20 YEARS AGO, JUNE 25,1969 Pfc. Jerry M. (“Jeff”) Borkholder, 20, was killed by enemy motor fire at 1;45 a m. Saturday, June 21. while on patrol in Viet Nam. He had been in the war zone only 13 days, arriving in that country on June 9. Borkholder, husband of the former Pamela Chupp of Milford, was serving with Company C, 15 TBN, 27th Infantry. Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Wise of Milford are the parent of a daughter named Victoria Lynn born Thursday, June 5, at 5:36 a m. in the Goshen hospital. Victoria Lynn weighed six pounds, 13’/i ounces at birth and was 20 inches in length. Miss Brenda Wilson, a junior at Ball state university in Muncie, left on June 10 for a summer in Germany. Miss Wilson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wilson of Milford and is a 1966 graduate of Milford high school. She is on a program sponsored by the German government. A son, Mitchell Jay, was born Sunday to Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Price of Milford. The new Master Price tipped the scales at nine pounds, two ounces when he arrived at the Goshen hospital. He has one brother, Lee Alan, who is one and a half years old. Phil G. Weisser, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Weisser of r 1 Milford, was named to the “Dean’s List’’ at Indiana Institute of Technology, Fort Wayne, for the spring quarter of the current school year.
