Mabel Dickinson Mabel Tusing Dickinson, 90, 5602 Hollywood Rd., St. Joseph, Mich., died at 1 a m. Friday, June 16, 1989, in Holly House Foster Care Home, St. Joseph. Born June 2, 1899, in Milford, she was the daughter of Joseph and Lulu Starner Tusing. On June 29,1957, she was married to Cloyd Dickinson, who died in 1963. Mrs. Dickinson had resided in St. Joseph since 1936. She retired in 1964 as a production worker for Whirlpool Corp., St. Joseph. A graduate of Manchester College, she was a member of Whirlpool Old Timers Club and attended St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in St. Joseph. Her survivors include two granddaughters. Jane Rizzo, St. Joseph, and Kimberly Griffith, Benton Harbor, Mich.; two brothers, Gerold Tusing, Elkhart, and Evard Tusing. Brownsville, Texas; and one sister, Mrs. Arden (Velma) Richards, also of Brownsville. She was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Griffith, in 1972. Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 19, in DeyFlorin Chapel, St. Joseph/with Rev. Richard Selmer, pastor of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, officiating. Cremation was held. Dey-Florin Funeral Home, St. Joseph, was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be directed to the agency of the donor’s choice. Lucetta M. Frantz Lucetta M. Over $25,000 in damages sustained in separate accidents
Fou# area residents were in separate accidents last week which resulted in over $25,000 in damage being done. On Tuesday. June 13. at 8:45 p.m., a hit and run driver caused over $38,000 in damage after striking a fence, going through a yard, striking a street sign, and hitting a parked van. The driven of a 1978 Toyota was northbound through an alley between Henry Street and Emeline Street in Milford when he/she struck a fence owned by Mike Minnick, 204 S. Henry, causing up to SI,OOO in damage. The driver then turned west on Emeline and

Tuesday, June 13, 1989, in her home. ’ ‘ Born May 12,1903, in Kosciusko County, she was the daughter of John R. and Lydia Byrer Frantz. A lifetime resident of the Warsaw and Claypool areas, she taught piano for many years beginning in 1923. She was a member of the Kosciusko County Farm Bureau, charter member of Kosciusko County Historical Society and a volunteer for the American Red Cross for many years. A member of Walnut Creek United Methodist Church, she was a church organist and pianist for many years and had taught Sunday school and young children since 1920. She recently received an award of appreciation for 68 years of Sunday school service in her church. Her survivors include her cousins, Vena Myerly, Earl Frantz, Ethel Vandermark, Mrs. Al (Thelma) Kammerer and Dale Byrer, all of Warsaw, Mrs. Alvin (June) Wimer, Sarasota, Fla., Earl Byrer, Etna Green, Marjorie Hollar, Syracuse, Ralph Edward Tumbelson, Arcadia, Fla., and Donald Byrer, Columbia City. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a m. Saturday, June 17, in Walnut Creek United Methodist Church with Rev. Norm Nellis, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. She was married to James K. Coleman, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Coleman was a mail clerk for the Indiana Internal Revenue, located in the state office building in Indianapolis, having retired in 1968. She was a volunteer for the Marion County Children’s Guardian House, Indianapolis. Her survivors include one son, Jim S.
