10 YEARS AGO, JUNE 6,1979 The Milford High School graduating class of 1929 was honored at the Saturday night annual school alumni banquet. Pictured in this week’s paper were Eugene Felkner of California, class president Ralph Biller of Milford, Russell Price of Nappanee, Lawrence Hartter of Nappanee, Everett Price of Lafayette, Johnnie Fisher of Syracuse and Bill Rhodes of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Flossie Price Hartter was present at the meeting but not for the photo. Ross Dahlstrom, Milford eighth grader and son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dahlstrom of Milford, was named the outstanding student of the year at the Milford Junior High School last week. Dahlstrom was also one of 11 students to receive a plaque in recognition of high scholarship. Mrs. Dean Troup of Milford, entertained at her home Thursday, May 31, at 12 p.m. She served a buffet lunch. Mrs. Noble Fisher of Milford, gave a talk and showed pictures and articles from her recent trip to Cairo, Egypt. David O. Wollman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill O. Morehouse received the award for activities and Eugene Lange was salutatorian. John Young received an award for sports, and Miss Sharon Dewart in vocal and Miss Jonell Judkins in instrumental for the Arion Award. Ricky Rapp celebrated his sixth birthday at a party at his home on Friday afternoon, May 29. The guests were Barbara Zim ; merman, Carolyn Rapp, Tom Speicher, Roger Korenstra, Dennis Berger, Philip Gunden and Cindy Rapp. Mrs. Andrew Rapp, Ricky’s grandmother, was also a guest. Mr. and Mrs. George Lantz of Waubee lake, are the parents of a baby girl, Debra Ann, born May 27 at Elkhart General hospital. Debra Ann weighed 5 lbs. and 14 ozs.
