Cynthia Hampton and Dennis Tucker exchange vows January 7 in UMC
Wedding vows were exchanged January 7 by Cynthia M Hampton and Dennis Alan Tucker, both of Warsaw. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Fredric Mossier, and Mr. and Mrs. William Wildman of Warsaw. The groom s parents are Mr and Mrs. Larry Tucker, also of Warsaw. Norman Nellis of Walnut Creek United Methodist Church performed the 5:30 pm candlelight ceremony before approximately 200 guests. Soloist was Kimm Dock, guitarist Joe Dock, and pianist Cindy Snyder, sister of the groom, all of Warsaw. The violinist was Bethany McFarland. Akron, cousin of the groom. The maid of honor was Lori W’ildman. Warsaw, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Pam Wildman, sister of the bride. Cindy Boling and Tracey Rose, all of Warsaw. Heather Kissell. Warsaw. served as flower girl. The best man was Jeff Tucker. West Lafayette, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Duane Snyder. Warsaw, Ottmar Schroeder, Rochester, both brothers-in-law of the groom,; and Stewart Banghart. Warsaw . The ringbearer was Casey Hampton. son of the bride. Creative Co-eds meet at the animal clinic
The Creative Co-eds WMTub met Monday evening. May 1. at the Milford Small Animal Clinic for their monthly meeting There were seven girls present. The meeting was called to order by the president. Teresa Musselman. Pam Shock led the American pledge and Michelle Levernier led the 4-H pledge Those present answered roll call With "What you are doing this summer' 7 " Musselman told the club about the weekend she and Karen Lowry. 4-H youth agent, spent at a recreation workshop at Camp Riley in Indianapolis recently.

The Enchanted Hills Playhouse Board of Advisors met Monday. April 24, in the home of Tom and Cindy Thornburg. Highlights of the meeting included welcoming Jeanne Gardiner to board membership and the election of the new officers. An unexpected vivid sexual scene can he very embarrassing in the middle of a gathering of friends. As the mother of three teenagers. PROGRAM PRESENTED ON BIG BROTHERS/BIG SISTERS — Mary Gerard, director of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Kosciusko County. presented a program Saturday morning for the Wawasee Kiwanis Club at Gropp's Restaurant in Syracuse. Gerard explained that the Kosciusko office is a satellite of Fort Wayne Big Brothers/Big Sisters. The Fort Wayne office serves eight counties. Big Brothers/Big Sisters is a youth-serving agency matching children from primarily single-parent homes with responsible adults on a one-to-one basis. The kids come from all ethnic and financial backgrounds. They range in age from seven to 15 and have one thing in common . . . the need for adult friends. Gerard explained the there are some 43 kids waiting for a Big Brother or Sister. Volunteers come from all walks of life. Bushongs celebrate anniversary
Emerson and Marjorie Bushong, r 1. Cromwell, celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary Appil 9 with their children and families as guests for Sunday dinner at the HolidayInn. Warsaw. ' Bushong and the former Marjorie Hontz were married on Easter Sunday. April 9. 1944. in their rural Cromwell home. Bushong was in the U.S. Navy, and Miss Hontz was a student at Manchester College
Silver Thimble Club holds mother-daughter banquet
Members of the Silver Thimble Club of the Milford Apostolic Christian Church and their mothers and daughters enjoyed a soup and salad supper in the church hall Monday evening. May 1. Committee for the evening was Mrs. Lee Beer. Mrs. Steven Beer. Mrs. William Longcor. Mrs Richard Steffen and Mrs Matthew Pamer. The tables were decorated with potted pink blossomed plants, small wooden articles and small song booklets. The plants were later given as prizes. Mrs. Lee Beer led in repeating the Doxology before the meal For the evening s program. Bonnie Genes Boutique of Milford presented a style show. Lion member Bruce Lamb reported to the Milford Lions Club Monday evening on a recent conference held in Indianapolis on a Skills For Growing program being developed for school children in grades K through five Joining Lamb in the presentation were Milford Middle School Principal Russ Mikel. attempts to build a skill base as children move through life and instill self-confidence in them The Skills For Growing program is aimed at developing the same skills as the Skills For Adolescence program currently in place for grades six through eight in the Milford school system. Both programs are designed as drug preventative programs, helping youngsters make good decisions as they grow up Roose commented that they appreciate the Lions support of the Skills For Adolescence program dnd expressed hope of implemei ■ ting the Skills For Growing program into the schools Plans are to incorporate the new program into the school svstem bv the fall of 1990
Other business discussed during the evening was a work night scheduled for Monday. May 8. at the Little League ball fields. The Lions plan to do repair work on the spectator bleachers. ~ The Lions also plan to canvas the town Monday evening. May--15. selling community calendars, a major annual fund-raising event. Guests for the evening were Jeff Brinkeroff and Tony Hoover both of Milford. Uniform poll closings The House approved a uniform poll-closings time in presidential elections to prevent projections of the results hours before voting ends in some states.
