Girls' team wins opener i
IBy MITCHELL STINSON Sports Writer Wawasee's girls' track team made its home opener a memorable one yesterday (Tuesday) with a convincing 81-37 victory over Westview. The weather conditions were less than ideal for a track meet, but the Lady Warriors still recorded some fine performances. “1 thought we did a pretty good ’ job, considering the weather,” said coach ’Troy Akers. "It was cold and windy.” All-conference runners Kriss Eisenhour and Lisa Mikel led the way for Wawasee with two firstplace finishes each. Eisenhour, a junior, placed first in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 17.4 seconds and took first in the 300-meter hurdles with a 49.1.
