McDermit and his wife. Judy, were also attending the convention. Many will recall Judy (Estep) McDermit as a former Milford resident, graduating with MHS's Class of 1954. Bob and Marilyn Brown, who had earlier returned from a twowee k vacation in several southeastern states, remained home from the convention to babysit for three of their grandchildren. —o— IN RESPONSE to the last week's picture of Milford High School's Class of 1920, Donna Fisher of Milford informed us that the young lady in front row ( third from left holding wide end of banner) was an aunt,of hers, Dorothy (Doty > Young?aaughter of A L and Cora Doty. As Judy Tinkel was driving from the post office to the First Brethren Church office, she passed by Nola Sorensen who had just taken a bad fall on some ice near the front of Priscilla Myers’ home. Seeing Eldon Sorensen coming across the street to help his wife, she went on to the church to get her husband. Rev. Paul Tinkel, and the church janitor for their assistance Upon w alking back to offer her help, Judy slipped and fell on another patch of ice approximately 20-30 feet away from the first mishap. At the insistence of her husband (several hours later), she was taken to the emergency room of Goshen Hospital, and X-rays revealed that she had broken a large bone in her left arm, between the elbow and shoulder. Opting not to have a chest cast put on which would've covered her entire shoulder. Judy will be keeping her arm in a special sling for at least four weeks while the break heals. Nola continues to remain hospitalized in Elkhart Hospital as she recuperates from a serious skull fracture. —o— BARBARA RIC HARDSON announces that on March I she purchased the former Realty World.

Seven persons injured in accidents

Seven.persons w-ere injured in five of 14 accidents recently investigated by the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department. Victor J. Hech. 23, r I box 13, North Webster, complained of pain to the lower leg after he lost control of his truck on the ice covered roads Sunday. March 5. at 6:06 a m The accident occurred on SR 13. south of CR 600 S. Hech’s 1987 Chevrolet SlO truck struck a mailbox owned byJames S. Brown, r 3 box 314, Warsaw. Damage was estimated up to $2,500 to the truck and under S2OO to the mailbox An accident Friday. March 3. at 8:25 a m on King Arthur Drive, east of Sir Galahad Drive in Enchanted Hills, damaged a car and mobile home. Sherylyn D Obacz. 30, 867 King Arthur Drive, Cromwell, sustained minor bleeding to her face in the accident. Obacz was heading west on King Arthur Drive in a 1985 Chevrolet when she lost con trol of the car hitting a trailer. The trailer is owned by Jeanette Wagoner, 863 Galahad Circle. Cromwell. The accident occurred at 7:55 am., Friday, at CR 800 N and CR 500E. E. Bradley Dragoo, 17, r 2 box 162, North Webster, was driving west on CR 800 N, when his 1978 Buick hit a slick spot. Dragoo lost control of the car and hit a pole. No damage estimates were available. Shanahan, 52, r 1 Barbee Dr., Pierceton. Damage was estimated up to $2,500 to Shanahan's car and up to SI,OOO to the truck. John D. Delp, 22, r 7 Whispering Pine, Lot 47. Warsaw, failed to negotiate a curve in his 1984 Dodge on CR 1150 N, north of CR 150E, causing it to go over dn embankment and through a fence. The accident occurred at 11:22 p.m., Friday, March 3. No damage estimates were available. The fence is owned by Stan Wuthrich, r 1 box 100, Milford. A semi driver was not injured when his 1985 GMC tractortrailer jackknifed on icy SR 15, Fridav, March 3, at 8:45 am., south of CRBOON. OtisG. Duncan, 54. r 7 box 316A, Shepardsville, Ky., was driving the tractortrailer southbound at the time of the accident. Police investigated a rear-end accident Friday, March 3, at 7: 45 a.m., on SR 13, south of Effie Mae Drive, North Webster. The 1979 Chevrolet, driven by Kamilla L. Slone, 19, r 1 box 475, North Webster, was struck in the rear * by a 1983 Ford driven by Michael D. Leedy, 17, r 1 box 1660, Pierceton,, as she was waiting to make a turn off of the highway. DeFuntak Springs, Fla., was traveling west on Old 13A, west of CR 850E, in a 1986 Ford. Williamson lost control of his vehicle after it slid and went into an embankment. The accident was at 9:15 p.m., February 26. Damage was estimated up to $2,500. A deer caused a one-vehicle accident Wednesday, Feb. 22, at 10 a.m., on CR 300 N, west of CR 475E. Michael R.
