Career Fair March 9
It has taken lots of hard work, organization, and hundreds of phone calls by guidance counselor, Ruth Angle, but Career Fair is now a reality, and scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 9. Career Fair is the brainchild of Angle, who wanted to give students at Wawasee High School an opportunity to investigate different areas of employment. She began the project with a poll. The results of this poll narrowed the field to approximately 40 careers which will be represented. These careers range from medicine to interior design, including also such areas as engineering, music, law enforcement, law, computer programming, and cosmetology. Among the 40 or so representatives who will be on hand to talk with the students are graduates of Wawasee High School, anxious to share their own experiences with present students. The gymnasium will ‘transform from 8 a.m.-l p.m. to a place where any questions can be answered on a one-to-one basis. Some literature will be available from the representatives, also. Anticipated questions may be how and what kind of preparation is needed for a certain field; what hours are worked, and what kind of pay might be expected; how much job stress is there; and
