Jacqueline Palermo, Tom Troup married in Long Grove, 111.
Jacqueline Angelica Palermo, 'Harwood Heights, 111., and Tom E. Troup, Milford, were married at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 14, in the Long Grove Community Church, Long Grove, 111. Dr. Craig Baldacci, pastor of the church, performed the double ring ceremony in the presence of 140 guests. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. James Palermo, Harwood Heights, 111., and Mr. and Mrs. Evar Troup, Milford. The altar of the church was decorated with red roses, white gladiolas, white iris and yellow daisies. Soloist Ann Caster of Long Grove presented “The Wedding Song” and “Just You and I” during the ceremony. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a long-sleeved gown of white Chantilly lace embellished in pearls and sequins. It featured a scalloped neckline and a train also of Chantilly lace. The bride’s headpiece and veil were highlighted with pearls and lace. Her crescent-shaped bouquet consisted of calla lilies. Carol Frelk, Prairie View, 111., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Donna Biersack, McHenry, Ill.; Sherry Green, Winthrop Harbor, Ill.; and Suzy Brennan, Milwaukee, Wis. They wore tealength gowns of red taffeta featuring a Chantilly lace bodice, short sleeves and drop-waist with bow. The attendants carried crescent-shaped bouquets of red roses, white gladiolas, white iris, yellow daisies and yellow freesia. The flower girl was Melissa Stenzel, cousin of the bride, Harwqod Heights. Nicholas Levita, also of Harwood Heights, was the rin&bearer. Tony Troup, cousin of the groom, South Bend, was best man. Groomsmen were David Troup and Steven Troup, brothers of the groom and both of Goshen, and John Brennan,
Meals for older Americans
Meals for Older Americans are served each day at the following locations: The Scout Cabin, Syracuse; the Pierceton Community Building; Mentone Community Room in the fire station; the Retired Tigers Center, 320 W. Main, Warsaw; and the Church of the Brethren, North Webster. Meals for Older Americans is for persons 60 years or older and is a chance to meet new friends and enjoy hot, nutritional meals. The sites are opened several hours each day including noon for programs. Meals for Older '—Americans is not associated with AvE&are but is for the promotion for Better health for the older population. Donations afe accepted for the meals. The site directors request all persons planning on attending the meals to make reservations by 1 p.m. the day prior to attending. Phone 457-2631 for Syracuse transportation and reservations. OBSERVE 25TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY — Mr. and Mrs. Ermal (Nancy) Coy, r 6 box 61, Syracuse, observed their 25th wedding anniversary on Sunday, July 24, with a family dinner in the home of Mrs. Coy’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Irvin Beamer, North Webster. The couple was married July 27,1963, in St. Francis Xavier Parish Church, Pierceton. Father Eugene Zimmerman performed the ceremony. They are the parents of three children, Gary, 22, Teresa, 16, and Edward, 12, all at home. Coy is a truck driver with the Kosciusko County Highway Department. Mrs. Coy is employed at Dana Corp Spicer Axle Division, Syracuse. They are both members of the Saint Martin de Porres , Church, Syracuse. As a gift from their family, the couple spent a week visiting places where they had gone on their honeymoon — in Mackinaw City and other localities in Michigan.

Mitzi Liles, Kenneth Dornier united in marriage July 2
Mitzi Suzanne Liles became the bride of Kenneth Leon Dormer in a double-ring ceremony on Saturday, July 2, at 4 p.m. Vows were exchanged in the United Methodist Church in Cromwell, with Rev. Roy Lee performing the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Bob and Janet Liles, Syracuse. Parents of the groom are Bruce and Linda Dormer, Union City, Mich. The groom’s grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Dale Dormer and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Littlejohn of Union City, Mich.; and his great-grandmother is Berneice Dormer of Franklin. The altar of the church was decorated with foliage plants, large white wicker baskets of peach and coral flowers, greenery and gypsophilia. The unity candle was circled with an arrangement of fern, lace, baby’s breath and White Sterling Star oriental hybrid lilies. Music was provided by Mrs. Junior (Faye) Iden, North Webster. The bride wore a white lace gown which featured a Queen Anne neckline, basque waist, and sheer lace Elizabethan sleeves tapered to the wrist. Venise lace, seed pearls and sequins covered the close-fitting bodice. The fullCONSERVATION SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED — Eric Grove, a recent graduate of North Wood High School, is the recipient of the 1988 Kosciusko County Conservation Scholarship. This annual award, which is renewable for a second year, is given each year to a Kosciusko County student who is continuing his or her education in a field of natural resources or school of agriculture. Grove will be attending Lake Superior State University this fall, pursuing a major in conservation law. His interest in conservation stems from his hobbies of hunting, fishing and camping. Our best wishes go with Eric as he begins his college Education. Robert Green is Butler graduate Robert Michael Green, rl box 178, Syracuse, graduated from Butler University in Indianapolis on May 15. Green received a BS in business administration.

The bridal headpiece was trimmed in fli embroidery, sequins and pearls, with a lace-trimmed walking length veil, pouf and blusher. The bride’s bouquet consisted of fern, ivy, gypsophilia, white rose buds, pale peach oriental hybrid lilies with coral throats, and streamers of white lace and satin ribbon. An antique strand of pearls, given to the bride as a child by her late grandfather, Ancil Moses, was worn for something old. Something borrowed was a ring from a friend, Sue Van Hout. Maid of honor, Sherry Douglas, Elkhart, wore a tea-length peach satin gown with peach lace overlay. Her headpiece was of peach tulle, flowers and pearls, and she carried a bouquet of coral roses, gypsophilia and fern. The flower girl, Alyssa Wright, daughter of David and Felicia Wright, Elkhart, wore a fulllength white gown with a peach satin sash and a headpiece of peach tulle, pearls and peach and white ribbon streams. peach flowers. Jim Van Hout of Michigan was the best man. Serving as usher ? was David Wright, Elkhart. Mrs. Jim (Sue) Van Hout of Michigan was in charge of the guest book. A buffet reception was held in the fellowship hall of the church following the ceremony. Dining tables were decorated with centerpieces arranged with pairs of white swans, surrounded by myrtle, baby’s breath, peach and coral flowers, peach ribbons and peach candles in frosted glass candleholders. Pale pink milk glass punch bowl, platters and spoon holders belonging to the bride’s late grandmother, Cora Moses, were used. Servers at the reception were Mildred- Gard, North Webster; and Jean Van Heldorf and Felicia Wright, both of Elkhart. The bride is district sales manager with Tern Industries, Syracuse. The groom is an engineer with Kropf Manufactur- , ing, Goshen. Following a wedding trip to the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee, the couple will be residing in the Syracuse area at r 1, Cromwell.
