Matching grant to fund battle The Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau has announced its first presentation of funds through their Matching Grant Program to the Kosciusko County Historical Society. The Historical Society made the request earlier this month to offset the costs of bringing to Warsaw a Historical-Revolutionary War Battle and Camp Life reenactment on July 23-24 at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds. % Included in the re-enactment will be battle demonstrations, cannon and musket firing demonstrations and camp life will be depicted by the group as well as period clothing for both men and women. The Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau Board approved the appropriation at its last meeting to assist tourism development in Kosciusko County. This grant program is available to not-for-profit groups located in Kosciusko County for the promotion of out of county visitors. This program doubles the impact of the tax dollars collected from the innkeepers tax to the local community. Interested groups may contact the Convention and Visitors Bureau at 313 S. Buffalo St. or by phoning 267-6311 and asking for Linda Arnold.
