Area lakes are 'made for boats'

Anderson’s Wawasee Boat Company, Pickwick Road at the north end of Lake Wawasee; Southeast Bay Marina & Club, at the fish hatchery at the south end of Wawasee Lake; and That Sailboat Place, on SR 13 in Wawasee Village, Syracuse, welcome all visitors back for a summer of fun at the great Kosciugko County Lakes region. 11118 is Northern Indiana’s largest marine complex. It has a trained professional staff to serve the public. Dewart Lake Marina, located on CR 300E, is open seven days a week all year long for the convenience of boaters,. They sell OMC and Mercruiser stern drives and outboards, carry all types boating and fishing supplies and have service and pier rentals. Griffith’s Wawasee Marina is located east of Morrison Island just off CR 1050 N, on the southeast shore of Lake Wawasee. This complete marina features a large choice of power boats and pedal boats, and boat trailers. There is a convenient gas dock, pier docking space and boat storage. Johnson Bay Marina is located on the east shore of Johnson Bay at the northeast side of Lake Wawasee, near Enchanted Hills. The marina has a 24-hour boat ramp, boat gas, docking, snacks, used boats and motors and bait and tackle. Main Channel Marina is located two blocks east of the Dairy Queen in Wawasee Village of Syracuse. This marina has a boat ramp, boat storage and new and used boats and motors. fishing enthusiasts to rent. These can be rented with or without a motor. Patona Bay Boat Service is located on the west edge of Lake Tippecanoe, east of Leesburg. It sells a full line of power boats, bass boats and pontoon boats. Patona Bay also boasts full engine service and has boat storage as well. Smokey’s Bait and Tackle is conveniently located on the channel between Syracuse and Wawasee Lakes. Summer hours are 5 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. seven days a week. Smokey’s rental rowboats can be seen all over the two lakes, with or without an outboard motor. The store has ice cream in the summer, boat gas dock, snacks, fishing tackle and live and artificial baits. Tippecanoe Boat Co., on the north shore of Tippecanoe Lake, sells and services boats. They also offer boat storage. Plaza Marina, west of SR 13 on Armstrong Road, Leesburg, on the south shore of Lake Tippecanoe, sells name brand boats and motors and has a complete accessories department. , For repairs to any make, model or year of boats, snowmobiles and jet skis, then Precision Marine, 106 Chicago St., Syracuse, is the place to go. Dagco, is the only boat propeller repair shop in northern Indiana and the only scuba diving gear supplier for many miles. It has the finest auto/truck/tractor radio and air conditioning repair shop. Dagco is located 2>/4 miles west of SR 13 at Syracuse. Take CR 1300 N (Syracuse-Milford Road) west to CR 300E (Dewart Lake Road. Turn south and drive ’/z mile. At Warsaw Automotive and Syracuse Automotive, the boater can get NAPA parts and marine batteries.
