Beavers host reception in the Bahamas Steve and Barb Beavers, North Webster, recently returned from the Bahamas where they hosted a reception for graduates of the Realtors Institute who are members of the Indiana Association of Realtors. The Beavers are dealers for Wilderness Log Homes, the Plymouth, Wis., manufacturer of insulated log homes kits, and are owners of Beavers Realty in North Webster. Steve is also on the board of governors for the Indiana Association of Realtors/GRI program. ( The Beavers also recently received an award for outstanding sales achievement for Wilderness Log Homes at the firm’s annual national dealer conference. Visitors bureau sets major objectives, goals for 1988
The Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors announced major goals for the CVB in 1988. The bureau would like to develop and implement a marketing plan to promote Kosciusko County as a recreation area and would like to service and encourage further development of existing recreation markets in Kosciusko County, the board said. To encourage the development of new recreation markets for Kosciusko County, the CVB will be analyzing the existing recreational facility base and resear- ' ching the feasibility of the development of new facilities. Being an organization that will maintain the necessary plans and equipment to meet its programs, the CVB plans to utilize its resources to multiply the dollar impact of recreational programs in the county. The organization also plans to keep abreast of its field development so that it can bring these to the use and betterment of Kosciusko County. Each goal of'the CVB for this > * Roy Johnson arrested after accident A Warsaw resident was arrested by Syracuse Police for operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of 10 percent or greater after a near collision on Huntington Street last Friday, April 8. Police were notified of a possible intoxicated driver after Roy A. Johnson, 726 W. Center St., was located in a Syracuse gas station. After following the suspect, police witnessed the near collision, while Johnson was also seen driving left-of-center at approximately 11:21 p.m. The Warsaw resident was also charged with fictitious registration.

>The purpose of the CVB is “To develop and maintain a climate to attract conventions and visitors into Kosciusko County and to provide for recreational facilities in Kosciusko County.” The Convention and Visitors Bureau is housed in the Greater Warsaw Area Chamber of Commerce Office and was made possible through the concerned efforts of the Chamber of Commerce. Together, the two organizations provide printed literature to visitors and businesses.
