Camping opportunities will be available to area handicapped children end adults during the upcoming summer season. Camp Adventure, located near Pierceton, is designed to meet the needs of disabled children ages 4 to 12 years. It is a residential facility and will accept deaf and hearing impaired campers; oral and sign interpreters will be used. Activities will include crafts, Bible stories, swimming, canoeing, fishing, sports activities, and special programs. Living Digital switching for Leeburg United Telephone Company of Indiana will activate new digital switching equipment in Leesburg on April 16 that will lead to noticeable changes when dialing phone numbers. There will be a slightly different dial tone and calls will be transmitted more quickly and quietly. The line noise is reduced so much that customers may think their phones are not working. Custom calling features will also be available. These features include call waiting, call forwarding, three-way conference calling and speed call 8 and 30.
