Hook's to hold coloring contest As Garfield celebrates his 10th birthday in 1988, Hook’s Drug Stores are sponsoring a coloring contest for children. Each store will select three winners who will then have the chance to assist with the opening of the Indiana State Museum’s “Garfield at 10” exhibit on April 30. There will be prizes awarded to children in each of three age groups, four to six, seven to nine, and 10-12. Children may pick up their entry forms at their local Hook’s Drug store, color the Garfield picture and return their entry to the store no later than Friday, April 22, 1988. The winning picture in each age group will earn that child his or her choice from among many Garfield products in the store. Then his or her entry will be forwarded to Indianapolis for the grand prize judging. The three grand prize winners (one from each age group) will be invited to be Garfield’s guest of honor and cut the ribbon at the opening of the “Garfield at 10” exhibit at the Indiana State Museum in a special ceremony on Saturday, April 30. Each store’s winning picture will also be on display at the Museum during the exhibit.
