Complete line of aluminum boats made by Sea Nymph

Sea Nymph Inc., continues to capture the aluminum boat market with expertise construction, designing and marketing. Without a doubt, organization has been the key to Sea Nymph’s success. The boat manufacturer came to Syracuse in 1946 and has become a vital part in the community’s growth. Likewise, Sea Nymph has grown, producing more boats, increasing its employees and increasing a larger fleet of trucks and trailers. Twelve new trucks were recently added to Sea Nymph’s fleet along with 32 trailers. The vehicles are'used in transporting boats to dealers throughout the country. Sea Nymph president, Paul Phillabaum, noted the local industry has over 500 boat dealers nationwide. In addition, Sea Nymph has contacts with boat dealers in foreign countries. “The boating industry, since 1982, has witnessed a tremendous upswing,” said Phillabaum. “At the present time, it looks like these trends will continue.” Sea Nymph got its start in selling boats by contracting Sears and Roebuck to sell Sea Nymph boats. ment store franchise has their name — Game Fisher — put on the boat instead of the local manufacturer. The boats sold to Sears are basically small fishing boats, which according to Phillabaum, are very popular. But Sea Nymph doesn’t sell only to Sears, and just make small fishing boats. It has become a complete line aluminum boat manufacturer. Other boats built include bass boats, many which vary in size, and boats for general recreation. It all depends on the customer which size is needed. Regardless, Sea Nymph can meet the needs in the aluminum line. Sea Nymph ranks in the top five of aluminum boat builders in the country. The local builder puts offers 80 different models of boats with designing geared towards modern styles. The boats not only are dependable and built to stay that way, but they’re attractive, appealing to anyone’s eye. “People are taking advantage of boats these days,” added Phillabaum, noting the increasing boat market in the area. “The

baby-boomers are primarily ouymg the boats.” As Sea Nymph continue to build top-of-the-line aluminum boats, storage and shipping facilities are needed. The executives, looking ahead, built a new shipping building recently. The addition has paid off well for Sea Nymph. Other departments that have increased since 1986 are the fabrication department, which has doubled; the production facility and storage. Sea Nymph converted an old warehouse into a new production plant, while outdoor storage, something relatively new at Sea Nymph, has doubled its capacity
